Well, today is the last day of 2013, I will not be sad to see the back of it, it wasn't good, another year of no work, and therefore not much money, had some refurbishments to the house, but the house has ended up in a mess by the end of the year, due to some not very good builders being here.  They have taken the rendering off but forgot to put it back and therefore water is coming in, they may remember to finish the job next year, as it is at the moment, but the fact is I might not be here as I am suppose to be going away to college in Hereford.  I have been there before but I think geting away from here might be good. I did some intensive labouring this morning, ie cleaning the kitchen, I hate the job, there always seems to be a lot of stuff from garden ending up on the kitchen floor, no matter how much I try to get the stuff off, by wiping my feet on the mat by the door.  I thought I had better get the house in to some kind of clean state by the time I leave.  I love going on

Well, I still don't have a washing line, and I decided to do some washing today, by hand, I don't have a washing machine either.  It has been quite a windy day, ideal for drying I thought, so I have had to improvise again, by tying ond end of the washing to the bin which is full of green waste, it seems to be doing the trick, though the wind has died down and it is starting to rain a bit, oh well.  I will need something better than the green waste bin I think. There is only 2 days until xmas, for me it might as well be 200 hundred days, as the thing seems to mean nothing to me this year really.

So Ronnie Biggs, the great train robber has died at the age of 84, that doesn't mean he was a 'great' train robber, the robber was was titled the Great, train robbery.  It doesn't mean he was the best train robbery that had ever been.  He ran away to Brazil to evade being put in prison, but in one way he was in prison, as he could not come back to GB and be with his friends and family.  I think some people admired him for 'getting away with it'  like I say, I am not sure he did get away with it, I guess he was always looking over his shoulder, and in the end could not handle that, and came back to serve some of his sentence, or maybe all of it.  I think he escaped from prison, that is how he managed to 'get away' with it.  I guess there is something inside most people that is fed up of following the rules and wanting to do something outrageous, kind of break away from the norm, like robbing a train, it seems a quick route to riches, such as robbing a b

accident I got some really bad news today, the daughter of someone from the village here, has been killed in a car crash, it happened yesterday, I assume it did, as she was coming from work,  These roads are very dangerous,  I also heard yesterday, that a friends son is very ill with cancer, he is only 18, the world does not make sense at times, young people, as a rule, don't get too seriously ill, its ill health that happens to older people, but I guess the world does not operate to my expectations of it,  Some people are bad all their lives and can get away with it, while others suffer for no apparent reason, I guess that is life, as human beings we are fallible.

It has been a very dank and miserable day today.  Well, after a lot of procrastinating, I deciderd to pay the damned tv licence, I think if you don't bother with BBC, it should be free.  There wasn't much flexibility given by the person on the other end of the phone regarding ways to pay, its not a nice thing to pay it really.  I thought I had better had as there are people coming and going here at the moment so the tv people might pester them. I got the local newspaper today, its called Llafar Bro, as regards the news in this village, even the fact that a bit of snow fell was mentioned, I guess if that's all the news there is round here, it would explain how I guess boring it has been round here recently, or maybe there is a bit going on and not getting into the local newspaper, I guess its hard to know to put in a local rag, but I suppse this time of year, there is not a lot happening,things die down in the winter, or is that what we expect to happen and therefore the p

I went out this morning to catch the bus to Caernarfon, to go for walk with a group and then go for lunch.  I got to Caernarfon at the time stated on the email, no sign of anyone, I walk around a bit could not find anyone, so I came home, a waste of time really. I got phone call wondering where I was, I told them I was a few minutes late due to the bus, getting to the destination, I think they could have waited a bit, I did say I was coming, the thing is stupid really, I  could not ring the person who was in charge as my phone won't upload the contacts from the sim for some reason, I will have to go to a shop so they can sort. My gold crown fell out last night and I was given an appointment to put it back today, I was given the choiee of getting put back or having a new one, I decided on the putting it a back but if it doesn't stay I will have to have a new one. I hate dentists but this time I was not in there long, I hope it stays in, as I can't be bothered with messing

Hopefully today I got rid of New call telecom for good,  they have been hastling me for weeks about some money they say they I owe them for some calls I made after the date I had left them, they have been emailing me and sending me text for ages, I have called them and once or twice they said they would stop the messages, but they kept on coming, hopefully they will stop now, the person on the other end of the line gave me the impression, that they were able to stop it, I guess I will have to wait and see.  If they try to get money of everyone who moves on to other companies then they will make a lot of money if those people don't check, it was not a lot money but that is not the point, its the principle of the thing It is very mild today weather wise, there is nothing wintery about it all, its very nice and apparently its going to be that way for the next week which is good and I can go for a walk on thursday

This is a pic I took the other day of a very calm afon dwyfor, I had not been there before, I went on a walk with the ramblers and really enjoyed it, I had the chance to go on a walk today, but it was quite a way away, an hour in the car, I could not be bothered with that, though maybe I should have gone, as there was not a lot going on here/  I had not been for a walk for a long time until the other day, as my girth is beginning to prove.  There is a chance to go on thursday but its a bit awkward to get to the start point as usual as I don't drive, I will have to try to sort this out. As I have said nothing much was going on here, just some cleaning, which needed to be done, there is a lot of mud outside the door, and i hope the builders will finish the job this week, as its a bit awkward having them around the place, The tv and radio at the moment is just full of Nelson Mandela, he was great man but I think they are over doing it, but I guess it take the emphasis away from

Well I achieved something last night, which I thought was going to be beyond me, I guess to a lot of people what I achieved, was pretty trivial, but I guess we all see things different;ly, what I achieved was to get over 170 score in a whist drive.  Last night was the first time I had ever done it, had a few scores in the 160's but not in the 170's which I see as the holy grail of scores to get as you will probably win then, which in fact I didn't last night, someone scored more than me, by 1 point.  I was not that bothered about that, all I was concerned about was getting a score above 170, I have been going to whist for years off and on and was never, until last night able to get the magic score, I am surprised I got the score last night as I had a bad headache all evening, I guess it was the luck of the cards that got me through. I thought I would never get the score, as I don't see very well, and struggle to make out the cards sometimes which is a bit of a strain,

Well its been a few days now since I moved from wordpress, back to blogger, and its ok I think, it seems to be working better. This morning, someone came round to look at the gas boiler, it was due for its annual check up.  I guess its one of the benefits of living in rented accommodation, you don't have to bother with the cost of the boilier, its all taken care of.  He was not here long, and the boiler is fine, which I guess it is, though with the price of gas these days, it does not get used as much as it used to.  The only down side of the boiler is that to get warm water you have to run the tap for ages, and also it makes a bit of a racket.  I was given a time of between 8 and 12 for him to come, well of course he came just before 12. I made some lobscouse last night, and home some today, its not as thick as I would like but I guess I put too much water in it, I guess I could add flour or some more potatoes, but I won't bother, it will have to do for now.

Today is Sunday, and as usual its day that tends to drag, especailly if I have a hangover, which I often do on Sunday.  I did not get up until latewent , well later than usual anyway, I guess I must have been tired. I then went and did some gardening well just went and did some clearing up really, after the people had put in a new shed, the garden now looks quite different to what it did before.  Since the gardening I have just been watching the tv, there is not a lot on on a Sunday really, just watched the rugby but fell asleep in the middle of it.   I got a letter the other day saying that someone is coming to have a look at the boiler, to service it, so I will have to tidy up the kitchen, they say they are coming in the morning so I will have to hang around until they do, hopefully they will come early. This next week coming, if my finances allow it, I will be out for four nights in row, a jam on tuesday, and wednesday, the whist on Thursday and the pub on Friday, it will be a

There was a lot of sport on the tv today, so I went and did the usual shopping to Porthmadog, this morning.  I did not need much just something for tea really and some milk,  I finished the shopping quite quickly so had a bit of time to waste in Porthmadog, there is not a lot to do there really after you have finished your shopping, besides go for cup of tea or just go up and down the main street, I opted for the later.   I bought another bin for the kitchen on my shopping trip as the one I had had broken, been using black bag since it has broken but needed a proper bin.  After I got home I watched the rugby but fell asleep in the middle but it did not matter as the Wales were so far ahead that there was no way that Wales would get caught.  There is some fooball on later, but will have to watch that on the computer as I don't have sky on the box and for some reason Wales's games are on sky. No sign of the people who are suppose to be giving me a new kitchen , today.  I think the process that should have been done today or yesterday was the rewiring and in one way I am glad they didn't turn up as I would have had bare wires, I think waiting to be plastered over, all weekend.  I was not sure whether they would turn up today, but I had a dentist appointment early in the morning and if they had not arrived by the time I had to go and get the bus, they were not going to get in anyway, I toyed with leaving a message with next door, but I reckon if they are not here by half nine they are not coming at all.  Its a real drag not having a kitchen, and having to go backwards and forward to a the room where the stuff is.  I guess I will get left alone this weekend and and won't have to be worry about them turning up so much I guess, and hopefully they will come and Monday and get on with the process. Its been a long boring day, trying to sort out the computer, there is a problem with the bluetooth now it won't let me transfer files for some reason, I have looked on the internet but found nothing there, its hard to know what question to put in really, what to ask.  Anyway I gave up on that in end, I tried to solve the other problem, the unidentified network problem Update, I now have a new laptop.  There have been a few problems getting used to windows 8 but I am getting there slowly, the laptop is by a company called Asus or something, never heard of them before. The laptop was on display, they didn't have any others in the shop, so took the display model.

I liked this song when if was first out, I see it was out 22 years ago, it is quite breathtaking to think where all the time has gone, it seems like only yesterday when it was out. I had an appointment with an employment advisor today, as usual on a Friday, well I say as usual, as he forgot to turn up a couple o f weeks ago for some reason,  All the appointment involves is me just telling him what I have been up to in relation of job hunting, which this week involves having applied for 2 jobs, not sure I will get anything from them but we shall see.  I need to money really, that is why I am applying. After my time with the advisor I popped up to Blaenau for a couple of hours, had a chat and a cup of tea with some people, then got the bus home. and have been messing about on the computer since trying to understand how this windows 8 thing works, its a bit more different to the other versions of windows, it seems to be adopting the tablet way of doing things, I haven't used

The above pic is of the village I live in, it was taken this afternoon I like to do this walk up from the village up to the golf course, which is shutting down in March, after being open so long, one of the oldest golf courses in Wales, and has great views. From the above point I go on through the golf course and then down a road and then I cross the A470, and then go up past the water works, up toward an old iron age fort, called Bryn Castell, I then then go down through a field and past an old house called Hafod Ysbyty, then down the road back into the village I took some diversions today, just a went exploring a bit as you do, but thought better of going too far off the route, though it was a nice sunny I guess I could have explored a bit,  I took a lot longer today to do the walk as I have a bit of a hangover, I think the walk took me about 3 hours, hopefully I will sleep better tonight better than I did last night anyway.  I am glad i took advantage of a nice day to go for w

Remember remember the  5th of November, tonight is bonfire night, I used to go to the big field in the village for a bonfire, there was a huge bonfire there, all the village had piled it up with all their rubbish, and we had been round the collecting things to burn, it was a way of getting rid of waste, saved having to put it in landfill.  When it was lit it really nice a warm to stand there in the cold winter air.  I remember the guy being put on top and waiting for the fire to get to it, now they don't have things like that here anymore,  I guess its to do with health and safety and shit like that, which is a shame, but I guess things move on.  There is a firework display here but its not the same as having a real warm fire to stand next to, while watching the display.  There was also some home made food that you could buy, ah the good old days. I guess once the fireworks has gone, people will be getting ready for the next load of crap which is xmas.

Well I got this phone off ebay the other day, its called  HTC magic, something to do with vodafone, I am finding it a bit awkward to use, does not matter what i want to do I don't seem to manage it, I guess I will persevere with it the charge seems to go down quickly too, maybe I am running things which are not needed and therefore using up the charge. I went and did my washing in the next town as usual, maybe I will get a washing machine one of these days,  I had a pasty from the bakers again.  He is a kurish chap, who has been here a few years and has managed to grasp some Welsh, which is more than a lot of people do after they have been here for decades, my grandmother could hardly speak Welsh and she was here for about 50 years, its hard I suppose to do learn it as most Welsh people can speak English fluently, I guess the Kurdish bloke has worked hard at it and has obviously grasped the fact that he could charm is customers by his efforts and also I guess it makes it easier f

I had an appointment this morning in Porthmadog, with some guy who is going to help me find some work, the appointment was at 10 pm, I got there and was told that the guy would be a bit late, well he was late alright, he never turned up, a real waste of time. Its good to see that Germany are recognising intersex, and that a child does not have to be classed a boy or girl when they are born, nothing is ever black and white, there are always, and apparently, its one in every 2000, exceptions to the rule. I did some of this stuff at university, but have forgotten most of it, I wish I had carried on studying really, oh well that's life.

I seem to have a problem with this new laptop, in that it makes my eyes sore after a while, not sure how to sort it out. Well we did not any bad weather here anyway, no matter what the media were banging on about, I think there might have been some wind away from here but nothing here anyway. I got my money back this morning from my transaction with dodgy ebay dealer, they gave me money back but I wonder if they get their money back off dodgy dealer, its a shame really as I wanted to buy the phone, it took good photos, better than this rubbish I have now, but I'm sure I will find a phone that can take good pics.

I decided to go for a swim this morning, as I hadn't been for a couple of weeks, it was quiet again, its much easier to dhte lengths when there is not that many people around, I guess it will be busy with famillies next week as its half term, which, I actually thought was this week. I over slept this morning, usually the kids wake me up going to school or traffic, but nothing woke me this morning and when I woke I was not sure wehat time it was, but it was 9.30 am, not slept in like that for ages, I guess I needed it. After going for a swim I decided to go to Pwllheli on the train, just because it was nice sunny afternoon, I get to go for free, and it the journey is 3 tyimes faster on the train, the bus goes all over the place. IO had half an hour in Pwllheli  before the same train went back, so had a chance to do some shopping, they are building a new Weatherspoons pub there and it coming along quite nicely, I guess it will be finished by the beginning to the year; Anyway I caug

I went to the next town to do my laundry as usual, and while I was there I brought some milk, as I had run out again, I seem to go through those milk cartons very quickly, I have to go to the next town to get milk as its cheaper than the local shop.  Anyway I cought the bus home as usual and did something I shouldn't, when I got home, I chucked the bag on the floor, which had the washing and the milk in it, well the milk did not stay in it after that, the carton broke and my clean washing was covered in milk, I was so annoyed, but I guess should have been more careful.  I have since rinsed the clothes out, and put them out on the line except I have no proper line anymore so have to tie the line to somewhere in the garden which is not ideal.  I am lucky that there is a wind so hopefully I can get the clothes dry.  I have found also some holes in my clothes which is a pain as I am no good at fixing them, so I will have to buy some new ones or take them to a shop to be fixed, which is

W ell the wallpaper is up anyway, on this 'refreshing' attempting I am making here at home, now I just have to be painting the rest of place, my sister help; me put up the wallpaper,  as its something I am not too familiar with, I caught my jumper on the paint work, and have been trying to remove the paint, from the jumper but it won't shift, I have not turps either, which is the only thing that will remove it really, it is hard work to get it off.  I will probaby y throw the garment away, I have had for a long time anyway, I need some new stuff, even though I don't really have the money to buy any. This year there has been a lot of moving things around the house, first there was the rewiring and new kitchen fitting and now there is the decorating after the rewiring, which has involved a lot of moving thing around. so much so, that I am not sure where everything this, hopefully I will get the place straight one of these days after I have finished the painting

Well my free water supply has gone, well its been buried anyway, I had this pipe in the garden which did not have a tap on it, which the water was free, as it was bypassing the water meter, I had been meaning to put a tap on it fo ages but never got round to it, for one reason and another, anyway, due to the fact the shed that it was in was being pulled down, the people decided the tap could not be left in garden uncovered so it had to be buried in the garden, which is understandable, if I had wanted it I guess I would have got round to putting a tap on it by now.  I guess I can always dig it up again if want to restart it but i doubt I will. I am due to do a radio interview tomorrow, I have never done one before, well not live anyway, I think I did a recorded one once. I am not doing it alone which is good,  The interview will be about a this walking group I go with every month, its a group dedicated to people with bad eyesight, and it has volunteers there too. i am hoping to get the

It seems I am having to remember more and more passwords these days, as the ones I wanting to use seem to be being taken up, and I seem to get mixed up with which password goes where.  I am having to get reminded more often too. I have bought a new laptop today, it was ok in relation to price but his windows 8 is a bit awkward to get used to, I may have to do a course in which is quite funny as I have done loads of computer courses.  I got it from Staples, its not a make I have heard of before, the currys shop was quite near but I will not go there as they ripped me off, well stole 300 quid from they are a bunch of crooks and I will never set foot in their shop again, they seem to have bought PC world, so I will not go there either as they are associating with these crooks. I was told by the guy in the shop today that windows 8 is faster, well obviously that depends on if you know how to use it or not I guess,  I am a bit dissappoined the other laptop broke, but it was getting on my ne

Well the skip has finally gone from the front of the house, so hopefully now the moaning neighbour will shut, but I guess it was a bit of an inconvenience, it was here much longer than I thought it would be, and I think I would have been moaning too, I guess.  The people who brought the skip here still haven't given me a key to lock the new shed, or metal container or whatever it is, hopefully it wll get here soon.  They have also no finished doing the work. I ordered a 'new' phone today, it is actually second hand, I want to take advantage of the Wifi places that is available around in places these days, the phone was quite cheap as it was second hand I have bought a second hand phone before and it was fine for a long time. Well the weather seems to be holding out quite well, hopefully it will stay dry for another few days.  I guess if it rains I can get on with the diy I need to do round here.  This village these days seem very quiet, there is hardly anyone around, I reme

I decided not to go to the Grapes today, as feeling a bit under the weather due to having had too much to drink last night.  There was a school reunion in the pub, they had all congregated in bar, as the room that was laid on for them had really loud music in it, I felt a bit like I was in the middle of something that I shouldn't have been. It is really surprising how the time has flown since we were all in school, its nice that friendships can develop after the rotten time, I believe, gives most kids, the boredom of having to sit while some clown bangs on about this and that, which has not relevance to a young person at the time.  School is just somewhere to dump kids, for a few hours, it has nothing really to do with learning, well that's my opinion

  I went for a walk today, I have done this walk many times, its from Dolwyddelan to Capel Curig, its an interesting walk as there are different terrains. There are parts of it which is an old drovers road, which the drovers used to use to take their sheep to market in the big cities in England, they, used to bring back all the news that was going on in the country, there were not as many national newspapers as there are today, and the news took a bit longer to filter through. It looked like it was going to rain but it held off all day.  When I got to the end of the walk, I had planned to catch the bus back, but while looking at the bus timetable, a bus went sailing past, well you know what I mean, I know buses don't sail, I was gutted, I could either hang around for another hour or walk to Swallow falls, where the buses seemed more frequent, than where I was was for some reason. I decided to go to Swallow falls, but when I got to there, i still had a some time to wait for another

I was umming and arring for ages this morning about what to do today, its hard trying to think of things to do every day, most people work, but I don't have a job at the moment and have not had one for a while now.  In the end I ended up going to Pwllheli on the bus, its not a very nice journey, a bit boring, well unless you haven't done it before it is anyway,  Anyway, so old lady came on the bus with her husband, and asked me to shut the window, she didn't ask if I minded closing the window, she asked me to shut it, Anyway I did shut it, well one of them anyway, I couldn't be bothered to shut the other one, maybe i was a bit daft, but I guess I was in a bad mood. There wasn't much in Pwllheli, there never is, it was nice day though, I wanted to go for a walk today, but the rain was quite bad this morning so I didn't bother, I was wishing I had gone by mid afternoon as it was very warm, by then, the weather people mess you around, they say one thing and the wea

Sometimes you get to wondering if messing around on these social media sites is a good idea.  On Sunday, someone seemed to having a go at Chelsea FC fans on the telly, implying they were antisemitic, implying they were all anti Semitic, which is not true, as I am a Chelsea FC fan and have been for 40 or more and I am not anti Semitic, I decided to use twitter as a way of expressing my displeasure, with this person for having a go at Chelsea fans.  I am sure there are some people who turn up to Chelsea matches, and to be anti semitic, they probably are not Chelsea fans at all but are cowards and just want to use the platform just to be anti semitic.  I was annoyed, and maybe my initial tweet was not very clever, but I guess I just left it there, and, maybe, I got what I was trying to get,which was a reaction.  But I also did not want a reaction.  it is easy to sit behind a computer and have a go, its kind of safe, but not safe too. The response I got, I did not understand, so acted that

I went for a stroll round the village this morning, and came across these little horses again, apparently they are miniture shetland ponies. It was very wet under foot and I got my feet a bit damp.  Usually on a Sunday I would go down to the local pub for a bi of a jam but it didn't happen today, the next time there is one is on Wednesday. The skip is still outside the house, its been here for weeks, not the neighbours are using it and they might as well, as its standing there., I have been using it to move my own rubbish really, A clock which I have had for a whiles seems to have broken, I came back from the walk and saw that it had stopped, I changed the battery with what I thought was a good battery, but they had been here for a while so decided to go to the shop and buy some, and they were expensive, it turns out that its the clock that is broken, I wonder if its possible to fix digital clocks., either to fix the mechanism or to replace it, I guess I will have to look into it,

      Been feeling a bit weary today, due to the activities of yesterday probably, all the walking and paper stripping, gardening and jamming until the early morning, not as young as I was so can't keep going in the same way.  The walk yesterday was very nice, connecting the above villages, it was not as straight forward as I thought it would be, which I guess was good. I have been removing more wallpaper today, and then went and did some shopping, then did some gardening again, I have this tinnitus problem which has been brutal the last few days, it really takes it out of you. The weather said it was going to be a bad day, well it was in the morning but it was like summer in the afternoon, of which Sunday is the last day of and i guess we will just have to get on with Autumn then, which I guess is ok as the summer has been quite nice

Well, I had to remove wallpaper again, and usually in this house if that happens, some plaster comes down with it, due to the walls being so bad here, but apparently its a common problem, I have some old filler but its dried up so I had go and get some from the local Wilkinsons in Porthmadog.  When I got to Wilkinson, I found some unibond, a make which I thought was quite good, on offer, there was 95p off it, so off I went to pay for it after I got couple other things, that shop seems to make me get more than I go in for usually. Anyway I paid for my things at the till and thought the total was a bit high, so looked at the receipt on the way out and saw that they had charged me for full price.  Now I don't like going back and asking for a refund, but I did anyway, they had to go and check the price on the shelf, their records did not show the fact that it was reduced, not very good really.  Anyway the lady back later and said yes it was reduced, and someone gave me my money back wh

It has been a nice day today weather wise, not that good in relation to other things, I am having trouble getting removing a tinny sound from a string on a guitar I bought the other day,  I didn't pay much for the guitar so I guess you get what you pay for. Every now and then today also, someone, well I say someone, its the neighbour, comes to the front of the house and helps herself to some stone that is there, which is the rubble from the shed that has been pulled down, I guess she is one of those people who collects things likes to put things which no one else wants to use I guess.  There are apparently some bricks in the rubble which are worth about a pound each, if you were wanting to buy them from a reclamation yard. They don't make these kind of bricks anymore, probably for a reason, but I guess you need to fix an old building and want the same look these bricks might come in handy, they are like new really the ones that I have here but have been there for about a hundre

A old garden shed , which has been in the garden of this property is coming down today, I am sure its been here for over a hundred years, but the weather has finally got to it and its a bit unsafe, its sad though that it has to come down, its been a familiar view for me from many vantage points in the village, but today its no more.  They have given me this metal thing in its place, its ugly but its out of the way. The lady next door has taken a shine to some of the stuff off the old shed, the bricks the timber and the like.  I guess she is one of these people who like to recycle things, not let them go, whereas I am terrible for throwing things out. There are some big slate slabs on the floor of this shed, I think I will keep those, they will not look out of place in the garden, I can put pots on them,  there is a water supply there too, which I want to keep, there used to be an old outside toilet there.

it seems like there is life still left in summer, it is a beautiful day today.  Well today is the day after i went to the pub and sang a few songs with some friends, which was good fun. I looked at the facebook today and saw that I might have upset a couple of people because I was asking why a page did not have any Welsh on it, as the organisation involved is suppose to be bilingual, some people got shirty about it, I just put this down to them being tired, and therefore being petty, as one does when one is tired, they are trying to organise a beer festival, well have organised it and its going ahead this weekend, but they will not have any success if they are spending time being petty and stupid, they are better off putting all their energy into getting the festival going and pulling together to do this. I am a bit glad now really that i am going away for few months away from this petty small mindedness that can exist in a small village, its quite sad really.  If there are people comi

I have been doing a bit more painting this morning, putting some gloss on a door to the other bedroom, I am finding it a really messy job, the gloss is not non drip, so it drops everywhere, and then it runs down the door when I painted it, I am starting to wish I hadn't started this now.  At least I have finished the bedroom, well except for a few bits where the paint has  come away again.   I have noticed in the last couple of days some dark patches on the walls which have been freshly painted, its like damp I think, rising damp maybe but its quite high up too, I don't know if its because of all the paint that I am using therefore putting a lot moisture in the house, i have put on dehumidifier but that costs money,  There is someone coming here to sort the rendering out soon, I will ask them about it, there is always something with this dump.  I am not sure why stay or why I pay the rent for this place. I did some more painting today, seem to be getting more paint on the floor than the walls.  After I did some painting, I went on this walk which I suggested that the group I belong to did, it was from Dolwyddelan to Ty Hyll , it said on the information about the walk that it was 4 miles long, but someone counted it today and found out it was 5 miles long.  It rained most of the way round, not really torrential rain just fine rain, which was a shame for the people as they couldn't see the views. I have said that I will go to this jamming session tonight at the Grapes in Maentworog, but my guitar is not back, well its not fixed, apparently it can't be adjusted, which, strange, as the last guitar shop I took it to, said that they had adjusted it, so I have no idea what is going on, there is some problem with the truss rod , which one shop said it had adjusted and one says its not possible to do such a thing, so I am a bit confused, it can't be adjusted, then the thing is use

It has done nothing but rain all day today, except for a few minutes at lunch time it seems, which took to mean the weather was getting better, so I did not bother putting on a coat to keep me dry, which was a mistake really as it the rain got a lot worse in the time I was out.  It is late evening and its still raining, There is a saying in Welsh that August has 3 heavy rainfalls in it, I think today was the first, so one down and 2 to go.  I did start out this morning to go for walk with a walking group, but i was a bit slow getting out of the house, the walk was 12 miles, from Blaenau Ffestiniog to Penrhydeudraeth, I was a bit late getting to the bus stop but thought that the buses were usually late anyway, but I guess it depended on how late.  Anyway I had missed the bus, I gave up after about 20 minutes, which in hindsight was a good thing, as I would have got pretty wet on the walk and it would have been miserable, walking in the rain with my head down, just wanting the end of

It has been a nice day weather wise today, there has been a nice breeze all day, ideal for drying clothes, the rain did come down heavily for a while though.  This month is fast going, only a couple of days left, I should be getting the new battery for the phone, either tomorrow or the day after, I did have a new battery but it seemed to not be holding the charge only for a few hours I am assuming that this is because its probably a copy battery, so I have ordered one which is for the phone itself, if this doesn't work I guess the phone is knackered and I will have to get a new one, I am not messing around with getting this one fixed. I was not feeling good when I got up this morning, maybe it was because I was late going to bed, as I stayed up to watch the documentary on the Piper Alpha disaster which happened in 1988.  I remember hearing about it, I think I was home on holiday from college.  I took notice of the news as I knew someone who worked on there, Adrian, he was a local lad.  He was one of the men who lost their life in the disaster.  I knew he had died there but there was no body, no funeral, well I don't remember one anyway.  My way of dealing with the bad news was to think that he was asleep when it happened but from watching the program last night, he could not have been asleep so my illusion was shattered.  I guess the only consolation I can take from the situation is that he did not die along. I went to the local General Hospital today, to get some masking thing fitted, it is suppose to make the noise that the tinnitus I have makes.  Actually it make a noise like a gas leak, not sure if it is any good, but will give it a go as this tinnitus is quite vile.  The person who gave me the gadget, I think had a hearing problem, as she asked how I was and never waited for the answer, she was very nice though very friendly.  After the going to the hospital I went for a walk round Bangor and then caught the bus home, while in town, some moron who was selling something thought it clever to be mouthy, I guess he did not do much business with kind of attitude, maybe he was on work experience from the the local school. Well, there is a horrible weather message going round claiming the nice weather we have had is coming to an wet end this week, this is a real shame as the last few weeks have been great but like the saying goes, all good things come to an end. Well its another fabulous day weather wise, not much cop otherwise, Sundays are a real drag really.  I got a message on that facebook thing, that someone was looking at the messages I was writing, it was a friend of a girl who I used to go out with at college 25 years ago, its really funny how facebook can put in touch with people from your past people who you thoguht would never enter your life again, they had gone.  I guess if I am going to encounter the girl again, the one was seeing, this lady is the nearest person, to her. Life is pretty short, its hard to believe that 25 years has gone by, another twenty five years and I will be an old man, that's if I live that long.  I made that chicken stew which I like, for dinner, it was ok, I used the chicken thighs, which I was taught to debone and taught how to get rid of the skin, these thighs are a lot cheaper than the chicken breast, and probably a lot nicer, I guess people buy chicken breast just for the convenience of them I supp

I| came across one of the problems of internet shopping today, I had ordered this tee shirt a few weeks ago and it came from America , it was quite expensive for a t shirt, well so I thought anyway.  Anyway it arrived today, I took it out of the packaging and tried it on and it was a bit tight, I thought I had ordered the right size, I am usually medium in most things, but this was too tight. I guess this is the problem of ordering online, you don't get the chance to try the thing on. There was a return it, if you are not happy available so that's what I did and said I was returning it because it was too small, there was an option to say this, on the sheet, it seemed not to give me the option of returning it and ask for the next size up, so hopefully they will use their common sense, or maybe I will email them   Maybe I should have asked for my money back its hard to know what to do in these situations, anyway I hope, I get a bigger t shirt as a replacement, maybe I am getti

Well its the first of July and another council tax installment is due, not what we get for our council tax but it seems that its something that has to be paid, of they get funny and will even resort to those vile bailiffs to get the money.  I had a phone call this morning to say a builder would be coming round around 3, well I got home for 3 and no one has turned up, maybe the came just before, but you would think they would have the sense to hang around until at least 3 o'clock, no i guess that is asking too much of some people.  I have no idea when the work will be done now or if they will call again, who knows. While waiting for the person to turn up I watched the tennis on tv and also had my tea, then I fell asleep in front of the telly, which is not good as it means I will struggle now to go sleep this evening. I went to the hospital on Tuesday regarding this noise in my ears, not sure it will be any good, anyway its really bad today, its hard to control, hard to find relief when its this bad.  I guess it doesn't help, the fact that I have nothing to do right now, and a job does not look like its going to happen soon, i have thought about this volunteering lark, but I can't get motivated, but it would probably help in relation to getting a job, I will have to get my head round it I guess, its going to be a long old process. I received a new router from talktalk the broadband supplier, the other day and I can't get it work wirelessly, which is a pain as the ethenet cable is only short, I rang the talktalk thing and they could not manage to sort it, so they passed it on to some engineer who I assumed would ring me back at some point, well I waited and waited and nothing happend, so I rang them again, and apparently there was no fault reported, this company is really shoddy, I am stuck in a contract with them for another 10 months which is a pain, I could pay that off and go somewhere else I guess but its too expensive, I feel a bit trapped and stuck in this shit company, I think I got duped in getting a contract with them, got wore down by some shitty telephone person. The paint work on the kitchen wall has also gone funny for some reason, there are black marks on it, which I can only assume to be mould, I have reported it and hopefully it will get sorted soon, well sooner than the other problems round

I did not manage to get the job, I got a phone call telling me the bad news, the excuse given was that I did not know enough about the role, well not as much as someone else, which is probably true.  The whole process was a bit mad really, I didn't even finish the application form properly, but still got an interview, maybe they pulled my name out of a hat.  I would have liked to do the job, it sounds interesting but I don't have a licence so I guess I would have found it difficult to get around. This situation is awkward to talk about really.  I had an interview today for a job, I had to go to the new hospital for it, which was no hardship as its not too far away, I have had to go further for an interview.  The job was titled enablement officer, and it was working for the social services.  The job basically entailed helping people get back to an independant life after being hospital, after suffering something like a stroke.  I was quite surprised to get an interview really as I had not even finished filling in the application form properly.  Anyway I managed to get one, I think I got one on the grounds that i have a disability, I am visually impaired, which leads to problems regarding getting around, mainly I don't drive, but it did not say that a driver was necessary, on the application form so applied, but I was sure that you needed to be mobile, well more than I am anyway, but it was worth a go. The other day I got a letter saying that I have an interview for a job, on the 16th of June in Tremadog , I was not expecting to get one really, well I guess if I am going to apply, there is chance I guess, I think I got the interview due to the fact that I put down, that I have a disability, and the council who are giving me the interview, have a policy where if you meet the minimum criteria, you will get an interview, if do have a disability.  When I got the letter originally, I was very pleased but if I am only getting the interview due to their policy, I guess they will have drawn up their ideas of who I am before I get there, I will be assigned the stereotypes, they will have a closed mind to me, well this is what I think anyway, I can't see that I will be treated the same as the other candidates,  unless there is another disabled candidate.  It almost feels like they are just going through the motions. Well they have finally finished doing the kitchen, the paint is struggling to dry though due to the place being so cold.  I guess the place will stay cold as due to the robbing energy cartell, I will not be putting the heating on, only as much as is needed.  I have real bad tinnitus today, its horrible, its to brutal, not sure what can be done, if anything I guess. I have started to clean up, there is a lot of dust everywhere, it seems to not want to come off the carpet, not sure what I can do about the that, whether it needs cleaning propertly, I will not get a carpet cleaner though, too much expense, the dust has also got into my skin, its cutting up on my hand and dry in other places, its going to take a long time to get rid of the dust, I am still not sure whether the whole upheavel was worth the hastle, I guess its done now, I am just worried that the damp conditions here will just destroy all the good work that was done here. Well, it feels more like winter today, than spring, the weather  is all over the place, and also I heard on the radio that the Daily Express reckons we are in for soggy summer again, pretty depressing, but I guess it is Monday, blue Monday, so nothing is going to be great.  The electrician came round to finish putting in the extractor fan , which, being Monday, I was not too pleased with, as there is a draught coming through it, the kitchen is cold enough as it is.  There should have been painters turning up to finish painting but no sign of them, also there was some inspector from the housing company suppose to come here.  He hadn't turned up by lunch time so I went out and anyway, the job that wanted inspecting was outside and there was no need for me to be there so I thought.  I came home and there was card through the letter box saying the inspector had been I was a bit pissed off, as it seemed he had not been to look at the job, which I told them was at the back, I had hope

It has been a lovely day here today, weather wise.  The work on the kitchen is still going on, today the units were put in, the chap was here all day doing it, they look ok, and I am sure once the place gets painted the whole place will transformed.  I try get away when the work is being done, but did not manage it today, I was back here by the middle of the day so I spent the afternoon just walking around and sitting in the sun really which was ok.  I am hoping all the work will be done by the end of the week so I can start to clean up the place. At least now I have some cupboards to put things away in and I can begin to straighten this place out again. Well, we're in to May, this year is racing by again.  Though it doesn't feel much like May more like March really but I am sure there is warm weather ahead.  Well, the damp proofers have been, and they have put the damp proof stuff on the wall, which I initially thought was only going to be a covering a little bit of the wall, replacing the stuff that was there before but they have covered three walls really, which I hope will make the place warmer, this place can be quite cold really.  The people here did a lot of talking about the standard of their work, blathering on about this and that, where actually they are just as bad as the once who have been here before, the work looks ok but they have thrown plaster in my garden, they could have just put down the drain really.
