The picture. is of the village fair. When it was in its heyday. Why are they trying to stop the fair now? When it's nowhere near as busy as it was then. Very odd. I have read the. Correspondence from the Council. They say they sent the local councillor an email. In me regarding their decision not allowing the fair to go ahead. But when we had a meeting in the local pub, there was no mention of. This email from the councillor. She must have been told about it when she rang up inquiring about the fare. The councillor is being very deceitful here she should have brought the email up in the meeting  in thepub . She no longer lives locally.  I watched a program on the telly the other day about the prison's of Britain, it was called something britain behind bars and it visited some prisons, like Durham it also visited shrewsbury prison which closed in 2013 I think and its where executions were held,. Shrewsbury prison is now a tourist attarction.  I have always wanted to visit prison and now I have the chance to go before it is probably knocked down and the land is sold to developers, well done Shrewsbury council for rejecting the previous plans and the prison would be no more. I am planning to go to Shrewsbury on the train which as it happens the prison is opposite the train station which is handy and the train journey will for the day will give me a few hours in shrewsbury  There is a tour there which you can go whcih is guided and there is one I think you can go on your own I am not sure if that just involves just wondering round yourself I think the guided tour is better as you will get more information, ...

I was watching a tv programme the other day on Beddgelert and they visited a farm called Oerddwr which by now was not a farm but just empty buildings.  One of the decendents of this farm lived in this village but sadly passed away a few months ago in his possession was a book called Llyfr Melyn Oerddwr, it was a visitors book which people seem to put their thoughts in one of the visitors to Oerddwr frequeently T H Parry Williams and he put some poetry in it and people who lived there and been aroad put things in it too.  Anyway the chap who passed away recently was the custodian of the book, I knew him well, now that he has gone I am not sure what has happened to the book I just wish I had seen the programme a when it first came out and I could have seen the book in the village here I assume its gone to the national library or is in hands of another relative.
