I have just spent a few weeks with some long term patients of the Welsh NHS who have conditions such as diabetes and arthritis and ones waiting for operations, I am a dissappointed how disillusioned a lot of them are with service and lack of care they receive really. One chap who is expecting a knee replacement received a letter telling him he would have to wait a bit longer for his new knee and then a question at the bottom asking if he still wanted the operation well I would have thought that was not down to him but to the people who are supposed to care for him he would have got some advice about whether to have the op or not and they would have advised due to the fact that they are were suppose to care for him to have it he was not through the option the have the operation just because he could think of anything better to do with his time.
