idiots

I went to the hospital on Tuesday regarding this noise in my ears, not sure it will be any good, anyway its really bad today, its hard to control, hard to find relief when its this bad.  I guess it doesn't help, the fact that I have nothing to do right now, and a job does not look like its going to happen soon, i have thought about this volunteering lark, but I can't get motivated, but it would probably help in relation to getting a job, I will have to get my head round it I guess, its going to be a long old process.

I have been trying to learn to to play Drift Away by Dobie Grey, on guitar, but the intro is really difficult to get, it doesn not seem to fit with the rest of the song,  well I don't get it anyway. I guess I will just keep banging away until I get it.  I still haven't heard from anyone regarding the mould on the paint, it its like any of the requests I have made regarding this place, I will never get it sorted, its so frustrating living here, when nothing gets done.  I am getting a new shed apparently next month, this woman, came and told me other day, she said she was coming last week on the phone, but denied that the other day, I am not sure what is going, I am sure she said she was, as she asked me when it was suitable for an appointment, and I said on the phone, that that day was ok and said she would be here in the afternoon, she is probably a bit of an idiot, oh well.  Because of her behavior I was a bit off with her, and she had a side kick with her who was picking things up in the kitchen to look at, another idiot I guess.  I heard today that some of the contractors have been sacked, maybe they are part of the sacked lot, well hopefully anyway.

Well I achieved something last night, which I thought was going to be beyond me, I guess to a lot of people what I achieved, was pretty trivial, but I guess we all see things different;ly, what I achieved was to get over 170 score in a whist drive.  Last night was the first time I had ever done it, had a few scores in the 160's but not in the 170's which I see as the holy grail of scores to get as you will probably win then, which in fact I didn't last night, someone scored more than me, by 1 point.  I was not that bothered about that, all I was concerned about was getting a score above 170, I have been going to whist for years off and on and was never, until last night able to get the magic score, I am surprised I got the score last night as I had a bad headache all evening, I guess it was the luck of the cards that got me through. I thought I would never get the score, as I don't see very well, and struggle to make out the cards sometimes which is a bit of a strain,

great war

I went to an exhibition today, which was about the first world war, it mainly seemed to be full of photos of men from my home village who had fallen in the great war, they were all young obviously not ravaged by time.  It was a bit sad to think that so many young men from the place where I grew up were killed, it had their names and the names of where they lived, the names of houses and streets are the same today Sometimes you feel the outside world does not affect what happens here, but I guess it must do as it dragged a load of the young men here into the conflict which was going on at that time, I am not sure I agree with them going to fight, but that is neither here nor there, the fact is they did and that was what was going on at that time. My grandfather was in the first world war, but he was lucky enough to survive, even though he did leave his calf muscle over there in wherever he was, it must have been hell for him really and I guess I will never know what he saw there, al

I did not go the 4th day of the walk, I could not face another 10 miles of plodding around the countryside, I think this is mainly due to the fact that I have not been walking quite so much in the last year, due to bad weather and things like that.  I did not think I would even finish 2 days but I did 3 in the end, more than anyone else except the person who organised the walk.   Instead of going on the walk i tidied up around the place, and just sat around, and also watched the football this afternoon, it was a crap day.  I did not even go for a short walk, its still perishing out there, I have a short walk on Wednesday, a kind of trail run for group who want to do this short walk, a recky or something they call it. I have at last heard when the new kitchen is being put in, apparently its on the !0th of April, I should have a received a 21 day notice but I didn't, which I guess is typical of the organisation who are doing the work.
