The above pic is of the village I live in, it was taken this afternoon I like to do this walk up from the village up to the golf course, which is shutting down in March, after being open so long, one of the oldest golf courses in Wales, and has great views. From the above point I go on through the golf course and then down a road and then I cross the A470, and then go up past the water works, up toward an old iron age fort, called Bryn Castell, I then then go down through a field and past an old house called Hafod Ysbyty, then down the road back into the village I took some diversions today, just a went exploring a bit as you do, but thought better of going too far off the route, though it was a nice sunny I guess I could have explored a bit,  I took a lot longer today to do the walk as I have a bit of a hangover, I think the walk took me about 3 hours, hopefully I will sleep better tonight better than I did last night anyway.  I am glad i took advantage of a nice day to...

I decided to go for a swim this morning, as I hadn't been for a couple of weeks, it was quiet again, its much easier to dhte lengths when there is not that many people around, I guess it will be busy with famillies next week as its half term, which, I actually thought was this week. I over slept this morning, usually the kids wake me up going to school or traffic, but nothing woke me this morning and when I woke I was not sure wehat time it was, but it was 9.30 am, not slept in like that for ages, I guess I needed it. After going for a swim I decided to go to Pwllheli on the train, just because it was nice sunny afternoon, I get to go for free, and it the journey is 3 tyimes faster on the train, the bus goes all over the place. IO had half an hour in Pwllheli  before the same train went back, so had a chance to do some shopping, they are building a new Weatherspoons pub there and it coming along quite nicely, I guess it will be finished by the beginning to the year; Anyway I caug...

W ell the wallpaper is up anyway, on this 'refreshing' attempting I am making here at home, now I just have to be painting the rest of place, my sister help; me put up the wallpaper,  as its something I am not too familiar with, I caught my jumper on the paint work, and have been trying to remove the paint, from the jumper but it won't shift, I have not turps either, which is the only thing that will remove it really, it is hard work to get it off.  I will probaby y throw the garment away, I have had for a long time anyway, I need some new stuff, even though I don't really have the money to buy any. This year there has been a lot of moving things around the house, first there was the rewiring and new kitchen fitting and now there is the decorating after the rewiring, which has involved a lot of moving thing around. so much so, that I am not sure where everything this, hopefully I will get the place straight one of these days after I have finished the painting

I was umming and arring for ages this morning about what to do today, its hard trying to think of things to do every day, most people work, but I don't have a job at the moment and have not had one for a while now.  In the end I ended up going to Pwllheli on the bus, its not a very nice journey, a bit boring, well unless you haven't done it before it is anyway,  Anyway, so old lady came on the bus with her husband, and asked me to shut the window, she didn't ask if I minded closing the window, she asked me to shut it, Anyway I did shut it, well one of them anyway, I couldn't be bothered to shut the other one, maybe i was a bit daft, but I guess I was in a bad mood. There wasn't much in Pwllheli, there never is, it was nice day though, I wanted to go for a walk today, but the rain was quite bad this morning so I didn't bother, I was wishing I had gone by mid afternoon as it was very warm, by then, the weather people mess you around, they say one thing and the wea...

I went for a stroll round the village this morning, and came across these little horses again, apparently they are miniture shetland ponies. It was very wet under foot and I got my feet a bit damp.  Usually on a Sunday I would go down to the local pub for a bi of a jam but it didn't happen today, the next time there is one is on Wednesday. The skip is still outside the house, its been here for weeks, not the neighbours are using it and they might as well, as its standing there., I have been using it to move my own rubbish really, A clock which I have had for a whiles seems to have broken, I came back from the walk and saw that it had stopped, I changed the battery with what I thought was a good battery, but they had been here for a while so decided to go to the shop and buy some, and they were expensive, it turns out that its the clock that is broken, I wonder if its possible to fix digital clocks., either to fix the mechanism or to replace it, I guess I will have to look into it, ...

      Been feeling a bit weary today, due to the activities of yesterday probably, all the walking and paper stripping, gardening and jamming until the early morning, not as young as I was so can't keep going in the same way.  The walk yesterday was very nice, connecting the above villages, it was not as straight forward as I thought it would be, which I guess was good. I have been removing more wallpaper today, and then went and did some shopping, then did some gardening again, I have this tinnitus problem which has been brutal the last few days, it really takes it out of you. The weather said it was going to be a bad day, well it was in the morning but it was like summer in the afternoon, of which Sunday is the last day of and i guess we will just have to get on with Autumn then, which I guess is ok as the summer has been quite nice

It has been a nice day weather wise today, there has been a nice breeze all day, ideal for drying clothes, the rain did come down heavily for a while though.  This month is fast going, only a couple of days left, I should be getting the new battery for the phone, either tomorrow or the day after, I did have a new battery but it seemed to not be holding the charge only for a few hours I am assuming that this is because its probably a copy battery, so I have ordered one which is for the phone itself, if this doesn't work I guess the phone is knackered and I will have to get a new one, I am not messing around with getting this one fixed. I had a go at writing a song today, the words to it are not very good, its basically about homesickness, the middle 8 bit is a bit tricky to get right.  I guess I hope the group who play with right now, would like to play it, its not brilliant but I guess the more I write the better I will get hopefully.   The above pic was taken at lunch time today.  The people in the pic are the people who I went for walk with.  This was a lunch stop in a 10 mile walk from Llan Ffestiniog, to Roman Bridge via the quarries above Blaenau Ffestiniog.  Up to this point in the walk and further on really, there was just thick snow which most of us end up getting stuck in at one point or another.  I was lucky I had brought some gaters which saved me from getting snow in my boots and from getting the bottoms of my trousers wet.  I was not too kean to start out on this walk today, as it was cold and the cold was really bad for the first couple of miles up hill but then it was ok for the rest of the 10 mile walk. There was a plan to go down an incline of a quarry but it was too slippery so we had to make a detour and the snow in place was right to the top of your leg but there was bright sunshine all day, my face is a bit weather beaten right now, i can feel the heat coming off it.

The above pic was taken yesterday afternoon, of the Pengwern Arms in Llan Ffestiniog , which is a community run pub, and has been now for nearly 2 years, it was brought by the community with a grant from the National Assembly of Wales , it s run mainly by volunteers, and is open in the evenings and at weekends.  I went there last night and had a local beer from a brewery in Waenfawr near Caernarfon , the brewery is called Big Bog Brewery which is suppose to be Waenfawr translated in English, but I don't think it is exactly right, I guess a bit of poetic licence has been used here and why not.  The pint was very nice, I have seen the brewery's beer in the pub before, but I guess I was put off by the word bog, for obvious reasons, but I won't be put off again, it is very nice.  I think the beer was called Spring Big Bog. Well its the 23rd of March and winter is still reluctant to release its grip, work up to the above picture this morning.  I hope the snow does not hang around too long,as I have a few long distance walks coming up, and I don't want to be trudging through snow if can help it. I am having difficulty, getting the heading of the post added to the post itself, I have tried, pressing the update button many times but nothing seems to happen, it is still missing when I look at the blog, it is there on preview but not on the blog page itself, its a bit of a nuisance really, I guess I shall just persevere and just see what happens, it it a wordpress problem or my computer, it would seem to the blog things fault really. It seems that the heading has appeared now, I have changed the look of the blog, not sure if I have to pay for this look though.  There is no premier league football, this weekend, which is a bit of a pain, its internationals weekend, which is a bit boring, well it is when you...

Apparently snow was forecast for today, but none turned up, the weather people seem to have got it wrong again, there is snow on the other side of Wales, but nothing here, no sign of it at all, except a few flakes on the mountain, and hope it stays there. I would like to switch of my central heating though, the winter seems to going on and on this year some say we might get a nice summer, that would be nice change, guess we have to wait and see.  There was a chap trying to warm his bum in the club last night, a woman said that if your bum is cold it is a sign of snow, well there was like I say, some on the mountain but nowhere else. I made some more of that tomato sauce today, used double the ingredients, thought I could freeze some, but I used a fair bit for my tea, so there is not that much left, I guess I can make some more, its quite cheap to make In the music group, I broke the A string, not sure if i have done that before, maybe it was just getting old
