I recently went to see a young man perform at a local club. He has some vision issues, and while his performance was decent, there’s definitely room for improvement. His visual impairment didn’t seem to hinder him much, though the only noticeable thing was that his family had to bring him since he can’t drive. The club wasn’t very crowded, and it looks like they’re struggling to attract people. I think they might have a hard time surviving unless they start offering food. It’s a tough time for the hospitality industry. This week, I’ve been to the Eisteddfod twice, which is being held in Wrexham. Today is the last day, and it’s sad to see it end. I enjoyed going there on the coach, though the coach left a bit too early yesterday. At least I made it. It’s not easy living around here if you don’t drive and have uncooperative family members.  It has been cold this week I don't recall it this cold for a long time the pavements have been icy the council have not put salt on them apparetnly they don't these days but I would have thought they would with all the hospitals in trouble these days oh well I guess there is not a lot of joined up thinking going on these days which itself can lead to problems  The weather is going to get milder over the weekend which means the rain is on its way its never far away these days The photo is of Moelwyn mawr which I took on a walk last Sunday the snow looks great on the mountian but crap on the road especially when it freezes I bet the view from the top is really good but I am not going to attempt it I don't think I have been once it was the day after a bit of a booze up so I don'r recall it that well I would like to go again one day

I watched a program last night about people who wanted to move to Wales, it was based on the english version ones but it was in Welsh.  This one was based on this area and featured people who I knew and ones that I did not.  There was a lady who had learnt Welsh in very short time fair play to her, I think she came from Blackpool and had even joined cymdeithas yr iaith the society which protects the language.  I guess what the program showed me is the fact that people move here the area is changing and will change and its not the place I grew up in anymore nothing stays the same the world moves on even if I am not happy with the pace it is going it will go at the paec it wants to and you have to keep up I guess, if you don't you will be left behind The main point of the program was regarding the Welsh language and culture and how it will change, it has to thrive or it will get left behind, the language and culture will be here a long time after me which I guess is a comfo...

I made enquiries today about hiring a coach to go Merthyr Tydfil on September the 7th to the independence rally which is being held there.  Its a long way to go for the day but I guess its doable I enjoyed the day out in Caernarfon on Saturday and just fancy carrying on the momentum and see where it takes us I am not sure about the comedy aspect of Saturday as independence is a serious thing and it keeps having the money aspect used as reason for it not to happen.  I doubt there would be many independent states in the world if it all came down to finance.  Independence in many countries came due to oppression I guess and Wales is being undermined a fair bit by England due to the poverty levels not having changed its still the poorest part of the union in that sense.  I will get a quote for this bus by email at some point not sure if I have the get up and go to organise this in relation to chasing folk for money and will be the same in Merthyr as it was in Caernarfo...
