I woke up this morning not feeling great. The weather was awful, dark, and to top it off, there was a power cut . I usually go swimming on Mondays, but I didn’t feel like it today. Still, with no heating and the house cold and damp, I figured I might as well go.  The pool was quiet at first but soon filled up. When I left, it was pouring rain, and I got soaked on the way to the bus. On the bus, I got a call from the energy company . They apologized and offered me a £20 voucher, something they’ve never done before. I’m not sure what was going on. I am not complaining but I have posted the story on social media incase other poeple might be eligable  We get a lot of powercuts on this steet so I am inline for a a lot of vouchers from now on if that is the regime I have asked about to see anyone knows anything about the scheme but there is no information.  During the phone call the kind lady was able to see if my electricity had been put back on I was inbetween two minds abou...

  did some shopping today it seems to be going up and up every week I got the same bus back as I did down there are suppose to be some electric buses starting soon but they should have been here by now if was not for some nimbys , this place could have been the first to get the electric buses but the locals screwed up the first place was carmarthen instead.   We still have to have the lockdown timetable here because of those nimbys which is bad news. I really hope nothing else screws things up. I am intrigued by the electric buses wonder how quiet they will be. Apparetly they have a reading lamp on them so I assume they will pretty quiet no one would read on a noisy combustion enegine bus as they are now. The world will be funny place in years to come where there will be no combustion enegine making a racket except when the hit pot holes which some do outside my house because of the twat across the road had some gas or something put in they have not filled the thing in ...

I took delivery of new laptop today as the other one was not working as it had been damaged by me really.  I have had a few laptops in my time and hate the bit where it starts and you have to create an account.  I don't like the fact that you have to create a passoword as I don't want to be having to put that in all the time. Luckily this time I came across the local account option where you leave the passoword bit clear and then you don't need the passoword. I also took delivery of a new landline phone today it had was French it had all the connections for a french phone I assume as it there was no word of English on the instructions  all I did was use the connectons on the old phone and it seems to work I just hoep its ok.  I am a bit peaved by someone who came round yesterday to do some work and started to wonder around the house without asking me and got his camera out also to take pics without asking which I thought was rude and told him so too. I guess...

I came home earlier and put the telly on after a while I could not hear the telly and went to to have a look and see why, it was off.  I checked the other electrical things and found that there was a power cut. I had had a power cut the other day but that was only in the kitchen and I have not found out what caused it yet.  I had used the kettle after coming home and thought maybe that's what was causing it but obviously this time the whole house was off. I thought maybe I should ring Manweb using the mobile phone but that was not working and I found out that the data thing had run out. I also could not remember the directory enquiries numbre I usually ring,I put in some more credit and was able to ring the eletric people who informed me with a message that the power was off.
