Well, it feels more like winter today, than spring, the weather is all over the place, and also I heard on the radio that the Daily Express reckons we are in for soggy summer again, pretty depressing, but I guess it is Monday, blue Monday, so nothing is going to be great. The electrician came round to finish putting in the extractor fan, which, being Monday, I was not too pleased with, as there is a draught coming through it, the kitchen is cold enough as it is. There should have been painters turning up to finish painting but no sign of them, also there was some inspector from the housing company suppose to come here. He hadn't turned up by lunch time so I went out and anyway, the job that wanted inspecting was outside and there was no need for me to be there so I thought. I came home and there was card through the letter box saying the inspector had been I was a bit pissed off, as it seemed he had not been to look at the job, which I told them was at the back, I had hoped there would be painters here to show whoever it was, the job that needed doing. I did not stay in the house all day as sometimes there inspections don't happen they don't turn up. I rang the housing company and apparently there needed to be an inspection of the inside of the house too, a complete shambles really, anyway they are coming again in 2 weeks which is a bit of drag. I really don't trust this housing company, they are useless, I have been waiting for 2 years for the roof to get fixed, had some crap excuse once about the builder dying, they are pathetic. There is water coming in through the ceiling, I have reported this job too over 2 years ago and nothing has been done, dealing with these people can be frustrating, at least with the council, when you had an inspection, they came round quite soon after that, not this lot, though they the same people, except they get contractors to do the jobs now and maybe they get the crapiest ones who never turn up.
Shrewsbury prison visit
I watched a program on the telly the other day about the prison's of Britain, it was called something britain behind bars and it visited some prisons, like Durham it also visited shrewsbury prison which closed in 2013 I think and its where executions were held,. Shrewsbury prison is now a tourist attarction. I have always wanted to visit prison and now I have the chance to go before it is probably knocked down and the land is sold to developers, well done Shrewsbury council for rejecting the previous plans and the prison would be no more. I am planning to go to Shrewsbury on the train which as it happens the prison is opposite the train station which is handy and the train journey will for the day will give me a few hours in shrewsbury There is a tour there which you can go whcih is guided and there is one I think you can go on your own I am not sure if that just involves just wondering round yourself I think the guided tour is better as you will get more information, ...
