rough day

I have done another stupid thing today I have broken my phone screen due to having no patience so there is more expense to come..  In relation to the phone which is broken I rang a shop which is suppose to fix things like this the guy went to get the information about how much it cost and left me there for about 15 when I put the phone down I rang back later and the phone was still engaged I have no idea where he went to find the information about the phone..France?

I went to enquire about holiday in spain today I got some brochures it is going to take a lot of organising due to both of us living so far apart I am not sure what to do I guess it could be a change and a little adventure I suppose I shall see.The logistics of it is not easy I guess its difficult as I have not done anything like this before.  I am not sure we could stand each other for a week but this studio thing seems ok.  Where to fly ofrom is also a problem I guess I shall have to chat to the bloke.

I do have another phone which I haven't broken but it has problems but it will do for now I guess till I get this phone fixed hopefully the shop I rang earlier will sort me out.

The weather has turned shit again which is a shame but there is not a lot I can about it I guess. I was suppose to go for walk today but ended up at the doctors I could not have gone on the walk anyway apparently as the bus did not turn up which is a common occurence the service is rubbish  these days its impossible to rely on it .

I got  a phone call on the land line today saying my appointment  with the audiologist tomorrow afternoon has to be cancelled which is a pain I have no idea when I will get another one.

Well I achieved something last night, which I thought was going to be beyond me, I guess to a lot of people what I achieved, was pretty trivial, but I guess we all see things different;ly, what I achieved was to get over 170 score in a whist drive.  Last night was the first time I had ever done it, had a few scores in the 160's but not in the 170's which I see as the holy grail of scores to get as you will probably win then, which in fact I didn't last night, someone scored more than me, by 1 point.  I was not that bothered about that, all I was concerned about was getting a score above 170, I have been going to whist for years off and on and was never, until last night able to get the magic score, I am surprised I got the score last night as I had a bad headache all evening, I guess it was the luck of the cards that got me through. great war

I went to an exhibition today, which was about the first world war, it mainly seemed to be full of photos of men from my home village who had fallen in the great war, they were all young obviously not ravaged by time.  It was a bit sad to think that so many young men from the place where I grew up were killed, it had their names and the names of where they lived, the names of houses and streets are the same today Sometimes you feel the outside world does not affect what happens here, but I guess it must do as it dragged a load of the young men here into the conflict which was going on at that time, I am not sure I agree with them going to fight, but that is neither here nor there, the fact is they did and that was what was going on at that time. My grandfather was in the first world war, but he was lucky enough to survive, even though he did leave his calf muscle over there in wherever he was, it must have been hell for him really and I guess I will never know what he saw there, al

I did not go the 4th day of the walk, I could not face another 10 miles of plodding around the countryside, I think this is mainly due to the fact that I have not been walking quite so much in the last year, due to bad weather and things like that.  I did not think I would even finish 2 days but I did 3 in the end, more than anyone else except the person who organised the walk.   Instead of going on the walk i tidied up around the place, and just sat around, and also watched the football this afternoon, it was a crap day.  I did not even go for a short walk, its still perishing out there, I have a short walk on Wednesday, a kind of trail run for group who want to do this short walk, a recky or something they call it. I have at last heard when the new kitchen is being put in, apparently its on the !0th of April, I should have a received a 21 day notice but I didn't, which I guess is typical of the organisation who are doing the work.
