weather

 The computer seems to be running slow right now and I am not too sure what to do about it really I am not computer expert and don't know if the issue can be resolved or not I have tried everything that I know and have got nowhere so maybe I have to just put up with it or buy another one which is not great I guess I could go to the computer shop to see if they can sort it out its not too bad but its a bit of a nuisance

I use the computer for home recording so its important that it works to its best its not that old really I will just see how it goes I guess, there is always something going on regarding the recording set.

Well we only have two weeks to wait until the new bus service apparently there has been fun and games on the buses this week with the road from the village being closed due to a fallen tree or trees or something I have never seen the road closed before usually they get it sorted pdq but not this time its the second time the road had been closed actually in few months they closed it for the fair too, the council seem to have got into the habit of closing the road now what will be the next excuse 


The weather is abit milder today than it has been in fact its not very wintery at all right now its just a bit autumnal, we have had all kinds of rain in the last week or so cold and sunny wet and windy now its milder and wet.

There is a new community transport thing going on here right now in response to the shit bus service which is suppose to be improving in a cocuple of weeks anyway.  This set up will drive you to you appointment and back they are taking me to the dentist next week I would rather be going somewhere else but thats how it goes, this appoointment has come round very time as usual is flying by and winter will over and spring will be here and the new bus service will be here hopefully and then I will have to find something else to moan about about I guess. 

People are very sceptical about whether this service will begin being there have been so many false starts to the thing, we shall have to wait and see I guess.

Well I achieved something last night, which I thought was going to be beyond me, I guess to a lot of people what I achieved, was pretty trivial, but I guess we all see things different;ly, what I achieved was to get over 170 score in a whist drive.  Last night was the first time I had ever done it, had a few scores in the 160's but not in the 170's which I see as the holy grail of scores to get as you will probably win then, which in fact I didn't last night, someone scored more than me, by 1 point.  I was not that bothered about that, all I was concerned about was getting a score above 170, I have been going to whist for years off and on and was never, until last night able to get the magic score, I am surprised I got the score last night as I had a bad headache all evening, I guess it was the luck of the cards that got me through. I thought I would never get the score, as I don't see very well, and struggle to make out the cards sometimes which is a bit of a strain,

great war

I went to an exhibition today, which was about the first world war, it mainly seemed to be full of photos of men from my home village who had fallen in the great war, they were all young obviously not ravaged by time.  It was a bit sad to think that so many young men from the place where I grew up were killed, it had their names and the names of where they lived, the names of houses and streets are the same today Sometimes you feel the outside world does not affect what happens here, but I guess it must do as it dragged a load of the young men here into the conflict which was going on at that time, I am not sure I agree with them going to fight, but that is neither here nor there, the fact is they did and that was what was going on at that time. My grandfather was in the first world war, but he was lucky enough to survive, even though he did leave his calf muscle over there in wherever he was, it must have been hell for him really and I guess I will never know what he saw there, al

I did not go the 4th day of the walk, I could not face another 10 miles of plodding around the countryside, I think this is mainly due to the fact that I have not been walking quite so much in the last year, due to bad weather and things like that.  I did not think I would even finish 2 days but I did 3 in the end, more than anyone else except the person who organised the walk.   Instead of going on the walk i tidied up around the place, and just sat around, and also watched the football this afternoon, it was a crap day.  I did not even go for a short walk, its still perishing out there, I have a short walk on Wednesday, a kind of trail run for group who want to do this short walk, a recky or something they call it. I have at last heard when the new kitchen is being put in, apparently its on the !0th of April, I should have a received a 21 day notice but I didn't, which I guess is typical of the organisation who are doing the work.
