work

Well the 'home improvements' is still going on.  This morning someone turned up, who I was not aware of was going to turn up, apparently he was here to put some new stuff in the bathroom, he failed to knock on the door and just walked in, I was not amused.  I actually thought I had until 8.30 am until it was time for someone to come and do some work.  A chap turned up later to put in a new floor, which I thought was a bit stupid as the walls need plastering first.  Something called tanking was broken by the electricians, a week ago and fixing this seem to be taking time and holding the whole process of getting job finished, up.  I heard today that there is some outside firm coming to look at it,  the problem stems from kitchen wall being below ground, so moisture is coming through the walls and this tanking is suppose to stop it, I don't know what's happening to bricks with all this moisture getting to them, I'm no builder so have no idea what's what.

Today also they brought the wrong toilet, but they eventually put in the new bathroom stuff, and now a load of plastering is being done, the rewiring has been plastered at last, the walls look a mess, I only papered a few months ago. I wish I hadn't started all this to be honest, its quite stressful.

To get out of the workers's way I went swimming this morning but I did not do too much as I think the stress of this work on the house is tyring me out. I then went to Bangor for the afternoon and was back here by mid afternoon, and there were 2 plasterers here then, there was only one here this morning.  The guy who came here to put down the new floor has to come back again some other time, which according to one of them he will not be too happy with as I think he could do it today.  This building lark I guess had some misteek for me  for a long time but since living here I see that its basically common sense.
