I went for a walk last summer along the coastal path near Pwllheli, I walked to Llanbedrog, it was a nice walk and I thought it would be good walk for the group I do go walking with to do, so I suggested it to the person who organises  the walks for the group.  She thought it was ok and today we went to do the walk to see if it was practical for the group to do it.  We did the walk  the other way round though.  I took this pic on Llanbedrog beach this afternoon

It seemed while doing the walk that it had changed since last year, it seemed there was a new part to it, its part of the new coastal walk of Wales.  The walk was quite pleasent.  It was a nice day today weather wise, I hope its the same when the actually walk takes place in a couple of weeks time.  In the last week or so I have walked over 30 miles, which is good, but as there are no walks organised in the near future I will go back to doing no walking really, from one extreme to the other I guess, which is a shame, anyway, its not the same going on walking on your own, its ok, but its nice to have a bit of a chat while your plodding some some route or other, I have learnt in the last week, how to do some routes right, which I had got wrong before and can do them again sometime, and I'm sure I will, but it will be on my own I suppose.

I am sick of this shit about welfare being banged on about on the tv, it seems its all there is happening in the news recently. I am on welfare and its quite disconcerting what the these vile tories are doing to the system, they have a real cheek really, as they were born into money, and are now trying to stop poor people getting it, they are just vile and it time they got lost.

Well I achieved something last night, which I thought was going to be beyond me, I guess to a lot of people what I achieved, was pretty trivial, but I guess we all see things different;ly, what I achieved was to get over 170 score in a whist drive.  Last night was the first time I had ever done it, had a few scores in the 160's but not in the 170's which I see as the holy grail of scores to get as you will probably win then, which in fact I didn't last night, someone scored more than me, by 1 point.  I was not that bothered about that, all I was concerned about was getting a score above 170, I have been going to whist for years off and on and was never, until last night able to get the magic score, I am surprised I got the score last night as I had a bad headache all evening, I guess it was the luck of the cards that got me through. great war

I went to an exhibition today, which was about the first world war, it mainly seemed to be full of photos of men from my home village who had fallen in the great war, they were all young obviously not ravaged by time.  It was a bit sad to think that so many young men from the place where I grew up were killed, it had their names and the names of where they lived, the names of houses and streets are the same today Sometimes you feel the outside world does not affect what happens here, but I guess it must do as it dragged a load of the young men here into the conflict which was going on at that time, I am not sure I agree with them going to fight, but that is neither here nor there, the fact is they did and that was what was going on at that time. My grandfather was in the first world war, but he was lucky enough to survive, even though he did leave his calf muscle over there in wherever he was, it must have been hell for him really and I guess I will never know what he saw there, al

I did not go the 4th day of the walk, I could not face another 10 miles of plodding around the countryside, I think this is mainly due to the fact that I have not been walking quite so much in the last year, due to bad weather and things like that.  I did not think I would even finish 2 days but I did 3 in the end, more than anyone else except the person who organised the walk.   Instead of going on the walk i tidied up around the place, and just sat around, and also watched the football this afternoon, it was a crap day.  I did not even go for a short walk, its still perishing out there, I have a short walk on Wednesday, a kind of trail run for group who want to do this short walk, a recky or something they call it. I have at last heard when the new kitchen is being put in, apparently its on the !0th of April, I should have a received a 21 day notice but I didn't, which I guess is typical of the organisation who are doing the work.
