  I have had a stomach problem for a long time and it involved having a camera down my throat, the first time I had one done I was not too sure about whether to be knocked out for it so just take some stuff to numb tht  back of my throat, if you are knocked out you have to stay in the hospital for hours ( though I have had general anesthetic since and signed myself out so maybe its not that much of a big deal).  Anyway while having the endesocopy I saw an old lady walk out of the treatment room so I thought to myself if she can handle it I am sure I can, so off I went and after the inital gagging it was ok I guess aot that stressful, I have had a couple since and its been ok I think.  The last one I has was nine years I know this as it came up on facebook yesterday I had on on valentine's day 9 years ago which I wish I knew earlier on on the day as I went to ask the doctor for a referal for one as I was down to have one every two years 

 I went to ask the doctor as the condition I have has been in the media lately and it can become nasty and I have had problems down there in the last few days not bad problems but I thought it might be a good idea to have a check up, even though its 7 years longer than what it should have been I am not sure why they have not sent me an appointment, mavbe the management has changed well they could at least tell me I guess, anyway we will see what happens, ironic that I go to the docter to ask for an endoscopy 9 years to the day I had the last one, its a funny old world. I guess unless you write a diary you would not know these things or are on facebook  and its memory set up, its hard to move on from the past with faeebook.

Well I achieved something last night, which I thought was going to be beyond me, I guess to a lot of people what I achieved, was pretty trivial, but I guess we all see things different;ly, what I achieved was to get over 170 score in a whist drive.  Last night was the first time I had ever done it, had a few scores in the 160's but not in the 170's which I see as the holy grail of scores to get as you will probably win then, which in fact I didn't last night, someone scored more than me, by 1 point.  I was not that bothered about that, all I was concerned about was getting a score above 170, I have been going to whist for years off and on and was never, until last night able to get the magic score, I am surprised I got the score last night as I had a bad headache all evening, I guess it was the luck of the cards that got me through. I thought I would never get the score, as I don't see very well, and struggle to make out the cards sometimes which is a bit of a strain,

great war

I went to an exhibition today, which was about the first world war, it mainly seemed to be full of photos of men from my home village who had fallen in the great war, they were all young obviously not ravaged by time.  It was a bit sad to think that so many young men from the place where I grew up were killed, it had their names and the names of where they lived, the names of houses and streets are the same today Sometimes you feel the outside world does not affect what happens here, but I guess it must do as it dragged a load of the young men here into the conflict which was going on at that time, I am not sure I agree with them going to fight, but that is neither here nor there, the fact is they did and that was what was going on at that time. My grandfather was in the first world war, but he was lucky enough to survive, even though he did leave his calf muscle over there in wherever he was, it must have been hell for him really and I guess I will never know what he saw there, al

I did not go the 4th day of the walk, I could not face another 10 miles of plodding around the countryside, I think this is mainly due to the fact that I have not been walking quite so much in the last year, due to bad weather and things like that.  I did not think I would even finish 2 days but I did 3 in the end, more than anyone else except the person who organised the walk.   Instead of going on the walk i tidied up around the place, and just sat around, and also watched the football this afternoon, it was a crap day.  I did not even go for a short walk, its still perishing out there, I have a short walk on Wednesday, a kind of trail run for group who want to do this short walk, a recky or something they call it. I have at last heard when the new kitchen is being put in, apparently its on the !0th of April, I should have a received a 21 day notice but I didn't, which I guess is typical of the organisation who are doing the work.
