noise

 For the last few weeks there has been a machine drilling behind my house it has been going all day every day nearly its a pecking sound and its recently been getting on my es and while going out and about its been getting on other people's nerves too, after a chat with the lacal shop keeper I decided the best thing to do was to go round and talk to them. I rang the council but all they were willing to do was to check the noise pollution and that was going to take days I guess, So when I|got home last night I went round but there was no one there so I went home and later decided to have a go again, I knocked and knocked but no answer, in the end there was an answer and I enquired about when the drilling was going to stop and was informed that it had finished that day well she thought it had finished that day anyway.

I have not heard anything today yet so I assume she was right the woman who lives there they are new to the neighbourhood so I am not that familliar with them, I hope she is right, I went to the shop earlier and told them what I had been told and they were glad that I had gone round it is probably easier to go and ask the people who live there than mess about with the authorities I guess and they seem ok people though there has been teething issues in the past.  They said that a shed was being built there seems to be a lot of work happening just to build a shed but what do I know, lets hope peace is restored 

I am not the kind that goes and confronts people but I did this time hoping that I was right about these people and there was no horrible dog on guard so it was not that difficult, and so far it seems to have paid off.

I noticed that the camera on the phone was blurred earlier and had a look and the small lens on the camera has broken somehow it was ok when I got it so it must have been me that has done is i hope there is not too much hastle in getting fixed I will try tomorrow if I can and go to local phone shop

Well I achieved something last night, which I thought was going to be beyond me, I guess to a lot of people what I achieved, was pretty trivial, but I guess we all see things different;ly, what I achieved was to get over 170 score in a whist drive.  Last night was the first time I had ever done it, had a few scores in the 160's but not in the 170's which I see as the holy grail of scores to get as you will probably win then, which in fact I didn't last night, someone scored more than me, by 1 point.  I was not that bothered about that, all I was concerned about was getting a score above 170, I have been going to whist for years off and on and was never, until last night able to get the magic score, I am surprised I got the score last night as I had a bad headache all evening, I guess it was the luck of the cards that got me through. I thought I would never get the score, as I don't see very well, and struggle to make out the cards sometimes which is a bit of a strain,

great war

I went to an exhibition today, which was about the first world war, it mainly seemed to be full of photos of men from my home village who had fallen in the great war, they were all young obviously not ravaged by time.  It was a bit sad to think that so many young men from the place where I grew up were killed, it had their names and the names of where they lived, the names of houses and streets are the same today Sometimes you feel the outside world does not affect what happens here, but I guess it must do as it dragged a load of the young men here into the conflict which was going on at that time, I am not sure I agree with them going to fight, but that is neither here nor there, the fact is they did and that was what was going on at that time. My grandfather was in the first world war, but he was lucky enough to survive, even though he did leave his calf muscle over there in wherever he was, it must have been hell for him really and I guess I will never know what he saw there, al

I did not go the 4th day of the walk, I could not face another 10 miles of plodding around the countryside, I think this is mainly due to the fact that I have not been walking quite so much in the last year, due to bad weather and things like that.  I did not think I would even finish 2 days but I did 3 in the end, more than anyone else except the person who organised the walk.   Instead of going on the walk i tidied up around the place, and just sat around, and also watched the football this afternoon, it was a crap day.  I did not even go for a short walk, its still perishing out there, I have a short walk on Wednesday, a kind of trail run for group who want to do this short walk, a recky or something they call it. I have at last heard when the new kitchen is being put in, apparently its on the !0th of April, I should have a received a 21 day notice but I didn't, which I guess is typical of the organisation who are doing the work.
