powercut

I woke up this morning not feeling great. The weather was awful, dark, and to top it off, there was a power cut. I usually go swimming on Mondays, but I didn’t feel like it today. Still, with no heating and the house cold and damp, I figured I might as well go.

The pool was quiet at first but soon filled up. When I left, it was pouring rain, and I got soaked on the way to the bus. On the bus, I got a call from the energy company. They apologized and offered me a £20 voucher, something they’ve never done before. I’m not sure what was going on. I am not complaining but I have posted the story on social media incase other poeple might be eligable

We get a lot of powercuts on this steet so I am inline for a a lot of vouchers from now on if that is the regime I have asked about to see anyone knows anything about the scheme but there is no information.  During the phone call the kind lady was able to see if my electricity had been put back on I was inbetween two minds about going home but home I went as my feet were wet, it wasn't back when I got in but it was not too long before I was able to switch the kettle on thankfully.

The weather is still abysmal, its not too cold though wbich helped during the powercut. its when its cold that the powercuts are worse. we get them in all kinds of weather it seems these days, I am sure its getting worse, do we get more rain and windy weather?
