practise



I heard an interesting cookery class the other day. I was due to get there earlier than usual this week, and in the afternoon, people were invited to come and enjoy what the class had been cooking. I went on the bus, and on my way there, I saw the postman. They gave me a parcel, which contained weighing scales.

An Unexpected Challenge

On getting to the cookery class, I saw the teacher. I didn't hear her say hello; the reason for that was she'd lost her voice! So, it was going to be a very interesting lesson trying to understand what she was telling the class to do when she couldn't speak. Anyway, she asked me to make a ginger cake, which I did. It only involved following a recipe, so I got on with it. The kitchen was full, and it was a bit awkward trying to find the ingredients, though they were all in a big bag, I found out eventually. Thankfully, I didn't need her intervention that much, and I managed to get the cake done.

A Mixed Outcome

I think everyone managed to do their bits, but it wasn't ideal that the teacher couldn't speak. I'm sure that if what was arranged wasn't going on, she would have taken the day off. Some people did turn up to have some of the food. I was supposed to hand out invitations, but one of them ended up in the wash, and the other person invited didn't come along. I wish I'd asked someone else in the end, but that's how it goes. The whole thing was an interesting experience, I guess.. Some left as soonas they were fe which wa=s a bit ignorant, but most stayed all the way through while others arivec late, so it was a bit a shambles in relation to organisation but it was ok..   

There is anotehr course starting in Septemeber I am not stoo sure I willwill attend that, the course has given me the impetus ot try out somd recipes myself, but they all seem to br around cooking cakes at the mment which will not ehlp my waistline, and will need me to wxercise more, I will look for healthier recipes I think whihc don't involve a ot of suger and flour and butter

The weather has gone a bit shit today but in some weather forecasts its going to improve by the middle o the week but in others its not, I am nto sure whcih is right I will have to wait and see I guess.. Iam using AI to improve these posts at the moment and it helps with spell check

Neighbours.

 Twol things you can't choose in life, your neighbours. and your relatives. I have not been. very lucky.really with neighbours. Well, I guess there have been some. that have been OK, but most of the time they.'ve been ****.  I have just seen. the son of a neighbour. who? got me a load of **** from. morons in. this village. H I have a piece of land. which has a which has an easement on it as part of the property. and the neighbour has access to his hut from it. The**** parked his motorbike on it one day and things got out of hand. It was a very. pressing situation. especially when he got other people involved. it was nothing to do with the son, obviously, but I guess there are. tensions there. On the other side, I have. a neighbour who is put up this big **** **** fence. which makes my garden a lot darker now, he used to be an ok chap I used to talk to him a lot but this horrible fence has damageed that relationship. strife

My laptop has been acting up for the past few days, refusing to shut down properly. I suspect it got stuck on an update. I tried restoring it but lost patience and ended up resetting it, which wiped out all my apps and data—a total hassle. On top of that, I got an email today about a pair of glasses I ordered online. Normally, I wouldn’t buy glasses this way, but it was my only option at the time. I had spoken with an optometrist about the order but decided to place it myself since it seemed they were just ordering them online anyway, and no options were available in-store. I searched for my old prescriptions at home but couldn’t find last year’s, so I had to visit the shop to request a copy. I sent it to them, but this morning I got an email saying the copy was blurry and missing key details.
