'Scottish independence'

I hear about this election about Scotland voting for independence, I was not aware that's how you achieved independence, I thought it was achieved but a country declaring itself independent, which was usually done after a war. I have never heard of an election on independence. its usually the case that the country that a country wants independence from, does not want to give another country independence and would definatly not give that country a chance to 'vote' on the issue, seems a bit of a naff way of achieving independence. A lot of blood is usually spilt while a country goes for independence, and that country has been oppressed, but I may be wrong and there is a 'nice' way to achieve independence, we all are very civil about and just vote for it. There is obviously something going on Scotland but it seems a bit strange to me, this way just seems a waste of money and i can't take the thing seriously. It Scotland does manage to get independence this way, then that's good, and its very civil of the English government letting them vote for it.

I have had a fence put in the back garden, I am not sure what its use is really, its fencing nothing off, but it has comedy value for me and my neighbours.  Today or yesterday was the first day of spring, its still very wintery though, I hope it warms up before next weekend or its going to be a cold walk.  I bought, more tins of tomatoes today to make more sauce, so I use it when I go walking, then won't have to make meals from the start after a tiring day of walking, Apparently we have done the walk before, but this time we are going the other way.  It does not matter, I am sure it will be very nice, and its not as if I remember every detail from doing the walk before.
