crappy computer

Not been a good day today, though ok weather wise, I attended a computer course, but the bloke running it was not impressed with fact I was not there yesterday, nice to be wanted I guess/  This bloke sent me away and told me to ocme back tomorrow, not sure if I am up for that really, as I am not that enamoured with having to sit in front of a computer screen for hours on end.

As had nothing to do due to mishap with course I went to Caernarfon for ride on the bus, that was after breaking the old bed I had, up for the bin man to take next week.  I have just come back from a walk I did the other day, and got lost this time too.

I decided to plant some potatoes today, I had bought some seed ones a few weeks ago, and read on the packet that you are suppose to plant them in February, well after a chat with a man on the bus who said they should be planted in March and not February, I decided to look again, he was right i was had read it wrong, so I had to dig up and put them away for another months, guess i am a bit impatient.

I received an email today about a walk that is taking place over the easter weekend, it is following the roman routes around here, starting from Blaenau ffestiniog going by train.  On most days its easy to get to the train station by bus, but not on Good friday as its Sunday service, so I will have to either walk or get a lift I am look forward to the walk, everyone is welcome, though I am a bit sceptical about this everyone bit as its probaby not possible for everyone to be able to do the route, such as people with guide dogs or wheelchairs.

Well I achieved something last night, which I thought was going to be beyond me, I guess to a lot of people what I achieved, was pretty trivial, but I guess we all see things different;ly, what I achieved was to get over 170 score in a whist drive.  Last night was the first time I had ever done it, had a few scores in the 160's but not in the 170's which I see as the holy grail of scores to get as you will probably win then, which in fact I didn't last night, someone scored more than me, by 1 point.  I was not that bothered about that, all I was concerned about was getting a score above 170, I have been going to whist for years off and on and was never, until last night able to get the magic score, I am surprised I got the score last night as I had a bad headache all evening, I guess it was the luck of the cards that got me through. great war

I went to an exhibition today, which was about the first world war, it mainly seemed to be full of photos of men from my home village who had fallen in the great war, they were all young obviously not ravaged by time.  It was a bit sad to think that so many young men from the place where I grew up were killed, it had their names and the names of where they lived, the names of houses and streets are the same today Sometimes you feel the outside world does not affect what happens here, but I guess it must do as it dragged a load of the young men here into the conflict which was going on at that time, I am not sure I agree with them going to fight, but that is neither here nor there, the fact is they did and that was what was going on at that time. My grandfather was in the first world war, but he was lucky enough to survive, even though he did leave his calf muscle over there in wherever he was, it must have been hell for him really and I guess I will never know what he saw there, al

I did not go the 4th day of the walk, I could not face another 10 miles of plodding around the countryside, I think this is mainly due to the fact that I have not been walking quite so much in the last year, due to bad weather and things like that.  I did not think I would even finish 2 days but I did 3 in the end, more than anyone else except the person who organised the walk.   Instead of going on the walk i tidied up around the place, and just sat around, and also watched the football this afternoon, it was a crap day.  I did not even go for a short walk, its still perishing out there, I have a short walk on Wednesday, a kind of trail run for group who want to do this short walk, a recky or something they call it. I have at last heard when the new kitchen is being put in, apparently its on the !0th of April, I should have a received a 21 day notice but I didn't, which I guess is typical of the organisation who are doing the work.
