inheritance

 Time is zooming on by, and there is an event in the community pub at the end of next month and it will be here pretty quickly.  In relation to the event, the pub was shut through lockdown and on bank holiday saturday they want to shut it down again I am not too sure the new people on the board know what they are dong you are going to have to pay 25 quid to go foa a pint, which is not a good look 

I went to my uncle's funeral the other day, we had a service in the house and the same service by the grave side for some reason it was quite surreal to be honest.  My uncle was born in the same house he died in and he lived there all his life he inherited the farm which would not have happend today as it would be spread throughout the family or if it did happne it would have gone to court.  

My motther received very little from my grandfather's estate and she ended up having to up put up with my father, amybe if she had something worth having from the estate she might not have had to put with a man 15 years her senier, the irony of this is that she died younger than him, she was not treated very nice by father and neither were we

I guess if she had had the inheritance she was due I might not be here really as she might have attracted better suitors than my father and then there would be not be me 

I think its a fairer system today where the estate is diviced up. It was not a female thing, my uncle did not get much either I don't think though he did buy a farm but then sold it, I think my aunt got a house but mother seems to have been short changed, she was not a happy person a lot of the time, this might be as she might have felt ripped off I will never know I guess.

if I wm still here it will be interesting to see what happenes regarding the farm and the land when my aunt goes I guess lets see if we have moved on there are theree of them two who kind of  farm the the place and sister who is older so in relality should inherite the lot as thats what basically happned when my grandfather died,  There is the grandchildren of my uncle who wants to go into farming there will have to be found ways of paying out people hopefully 

The inheritance is a dirty business, my stupid father banged on about the will all this fucking life when he died there was nothing to be seen and then you start to wonder what happend |I will never know I guess the old bugger did cause a lot of trouble but it seems parr for the course in this family my grandfather on my father's side robbed his siblings what a shitshow of a familu I'm part of maybe most are the same I don't know 

Life is short might as well be fair if you can and not cause people trouble especially those close to you.

Well I achieved something last night, which I thought was going to be beyond me, I guess to a lot of people what I achieved, was pretty trivial, but I guess we all see things different;ly, what I achieved was to get over 170 score in a whist drive.  Last night was the first time I had ever done it, had a few scores in the 160's but not in the 170's which I see as the holy grail of scores to get as you will probably win then, which in fact I didn't last night, someone scored more than me, by 1 point.  I was not that bothered about that, all I was concerned about was getting a score above 170, I have been going to whist for years off and on and was never, until last night able to get the magic score, I am surprised I got the score last night as I had a bad headache all evening, I guess it was the luck of the cards that got me through. great war

I went to an exhibition today, which was about the first world war, it mainly seemed to be full of photos of men from my home village who had fallen in the great war, they were all young obviously not ravaged by time.  It was a bit sad to think that so many young men from the place where I grew up were killed, it had their names and the names of where they lived, the names of houses and streets are the same today Sometimes you feel the outside world does not affect what happens here, but I guess it must do as it dragged a load of the young men here into the conflict which was going on at that time, I am not sure I agree with them going to fight, but that is neither here nor there, the fact is they did and that was what was going on at that time. My grandfather was in the first world war, but he was lucky enough to survive, even though he did leave his calf muscle over there in wherever he was, it must have been hell for him really and I guess I will never know what he saw there, al

I did not go the 4th day of the walk, I could not face another 10 miles of plodding around the countryside, I think this is mainly due to the fact that I have not been walking quite so much in the last year, due to bad weather and things like that.  I did not think I would even finish 2 days but I did 3 in the end, more than anyone else except the person who organised the walk.   Instead of going on the walk i tidied up around the place, and just sat around, and also watched the football this afternoon, it was a crap day.  I did not even go for a short walk, its still perishing out there, I have a short walk on Wednesday, a kind of trail run for group who want to do this short walk, a recky or something they call it. I have at last heard when the new kitchen is being put in, apparently its on the !0th of April, I should have a received a 21 day notice but I didn't, which I guess is typical of the organisation who are doing the work.
