shit tories

I was up late again this morning as I suppose there is nothing to get up for these days it seems as if it might be a decent day weather wise and I plan to go shopping in a bit a bit of a chore but has to be done where I will have to manage the new regime in Tesco which might be with us for ages yet.

 I was glad to get the email about the manhole cover apparently they did not fix it last week but will try again next week lets hope its sorted out.

 I applied a for a voluntary position a few months ago and the person training just decided to stop contacting me which was ignorant to say the least I thought perhaps she had left the company but no there she was large as life on telly last night I think I might write to the charity.

 I have been trying for ages to get an usb cable for a microphone with no success I think one minute I have got the right one but it isent its really frustrating I think I will give up now and just use the xlr cable for it or maybe I could take it into the computer shop when it opens which might not be too long as they talking about lifting the lockdown which might be a bit premature as this counry has one of world's highest death rate and from what I see one the worst governments.

 There is a long way to go with this virus it will be nerve racking just to go out as normal while the thing is around but I guess we have to try.

 I am starting to miss the the pub now and just the noisy environment of people nattering away this isolation is tough is going I really hope its not for much longer its horrible

Well I achieved something last night, which I thought was going to be beyond me, I guess to a lot of people what I achieved, was pretty trivial, but I guess we all see things different;ly, what I achieved was to get over 170 score in a whist drive.  Last night was the first time I had ever done it, had a few scores in the 160's but not in the 170's which I see as the holy grail of scores to get as you will probably win then, which in fact I didn't last night, someone scored more than me, by 1 point.  I was not that bothered about that, all I was concerned about was getting a score above 170, I have been going to whist for years off and on and was never, until last night able to get the magic score, I am surprised I got the score last night as I had a bad headache all evening, I guess it was the luck of the cards that got me through. great war

I went to an exhibition today, which was about the first world war, it mainly seemed to be full of photos of men from my home village who had fallen in the great war, they were all young obviously not ravaged by time.  It was a bit sad to think that so many young men from the place where I grew up were killed, it had their names and the names of where they lived, the names of houses and streets are the same today Sometimes you feel the outside world does not affect what happens here, but I guess it must do as it dragged a load of the young men here into the conflict which was going on at that time, I am not sure I agree with them going to fight, but that is neither here nor there, the fact is they did and that was what was going on at that time. My grandfather was in the first world war, but he was lucky enough to survive, even though he did leave his calf muscle over there in wherever he was, it must have been hell for him really and I guess I will never know what he saw there, al

I did not go the 4th day of the walk, I could not face another 10 miles of plodding around the countryside, I think this is mainly due to the fact that I have not been walking quite so much in the last year, due to bad weather and things like that.  I did not think I would even finish 2 days but I did 3 in the end, more than anyone else except the person who organised the walk.   Instead of going on the walk i tidied up around the place, and just sat around, and also watched the football this afternoon, it was a crap day.  I did not even go for a short walk, its still perishing out there, I have a short walk on Wednesday, a kind of trail run for group who want to do this short walk, a recky or something they call it. I have at last heard when the new kitchen is being put in, apparently its on the !0th of April, I should have a received a 21 day notice but I didn't, which I guess is typical of the organisation who are doing the work.
