Well had my day well and truely fucked up by some shitty bus driver today.  I had planned to go for walk with a crowd of people about 6 miles from here but it involved changing buses ones.  The bus from the village was due to get to the place where I had to change about 5 to 10 minutes before I was due to catch the connection.  

 I caught the bus from the village at 10.30ish it was ok it then got to the next stop and the diver decided to get off the bus to have a chat with the another bus driver basically wasting time.  This diver ws a woman and we know how they like to chat I know that is a sexist remark but for heaven sake she must know its tight to get the connection.  anyway the silly cow go to the place wher the connection ws about a minute late, the other bus haed gone. I guess the other bus coule have hung back to check if there was anyone who wanted the bus but I guess that is too much to ask.  The bus service round here is absolute shite.

 So the day has been ruined really I was looking forward to the walk too I could not have caught the earler bus as I would have been hanging around for an hour which was not a good idea its basically and appauling service

Well I achieved something last night, which I thought was going to be beyond me, I guess to a lot of people what I achieved, was pretty trivial, but I guess we all see things different;ly, what I achieved was to get over 170 score in a whist drive.  Last night was the first time I had ever done it, had a few scores in the 160's but not in the 170's which I see as the holy grail of scores to get as you will probably win then, which in fact I didn't last night, someone scored more than me, by 1 point.  I was not that bothered about that, all I was concerned about was getting a score above 170, I have been going to whist for years off and on and was never, until last night able to get the magic score, I am surprised I got the score last night as I had a bad headache all evening, I guess it was the luck of the cards that got me through. great war

I went to an exhibition today, which was about the first world war, it mainly seemed to be full of photos of men from my home village who had fallen in the great war, they were all young obviously not ravaged by time.  It was a bit sad to think that so many young men from the place where I grew up were killed, it had their names and the names of where they lived, the names of houses and streets are the same today Sometimes you feel the outside world does not affect what happens here, but I guess it must do as it dragged a load of the young men here into the conflict which was going on at that time, I am not sure I agree with them going to fight, but that is neither here nor there, the fact is they did and that was what was going on at that time. My grandfather was in the first world war, but he was lucky enough to survive, even though he did leave his calf muscle over there in wherever he was, it must have been hell for him really and I guess I will never know what he saw there, al

I did not go the 4th day of the walk, I could not face another 10 miles of plodding around the countryside, I think this is mainly due to the fact that I have not been walking quite so much in the last year, due to bad weather and things like that.  I did not think I would even finish 2 days but I did 3 in the end, more than anyone else except the person who organised the walk.   Instead of going on the walk i tidied up around the place, and just sat around, and also watched the football this afternoon, it was a crap day.  I did not even go for a short walk, its still perishing out there, I have a short walk on Wednesday, a kind of trail run for group who want to do this short walk, a recky or something they call it. I have at last heard when the new kitchen is being put in, apparently its on the !0th of April, I should have a received a 21 day notice but I didn't, which I guess is typical of the organisation who are doing the work.
