gutted

Well I bought this audio interface yesterday to do some recording on my computer, it seems to produce an ok sound.  Last night though, I broke it, by mistake, there were so many cables that I pulled on and it interface ended up on the floor, now its quite a solid unit, so I thought it was would be ok but by landing on the carpet it must have done some thing to the front of the unit and now some of the switches are stiff and I can't work the phantom power switch without using something to pull it back out again, which is a pain.  Baring in mind I brought this in from america on ebay, I can't really return the thing, well not without incurring really big postage costs anyway and a big repair bill I guess so I am stuck with this not very perfect interface, it did not fall from a height really, I guess the robust exterior flatters to deceive.

The thing does work but its the problem with the phantom power that is most annoying but like I say I am stuck with it now, I only had it a couple of hours before it broke which made me feel sick and gutted really.  I will still try to use it and still try to understand the software with it too, which is quite complicated.  I have applied to go to this course regarding this subject, but I am not too sure about it really I am not too sure how much interest I have.

Well it turned out, that I have a bit of interest as I sam still on it and looking forward to the new term in january, its been hard work and I do wonder why am I trying to make house music, I guess its because its the only genre I can think of to do on a computer, so I guess I will carry on
