I have a slight head cold today, which is mainly bothersome when I'm trying to sleep. I asked an AI for advice, and it gave the usual suggestions of drinking plenty of fluids and resting. After all this time, they still haven't found a cure for the common cold. I don't think I have COVID, though if I do, I have no tests and won't pay for one. It seems COVID is here to stay now.


The road is very quiet today. I think most of the traffic goes down the little lane on the other side of the village, as that's where the satnav directs them. The noisy metal cover on the manhole has come loose again—every few years, it works itself free, so maybe it's a good thing the road is quiet. I've been contacting the water board about it for years, but it's not an issue at the moment.


I'm still waiting for the housing association to address the damp in the walls of this house. It's such a nuisance.they take so long to get round to doing something. I was due to go to the cooking class today but it has been cancelled due to illness, it is a bit inconveniet a I need to go the doctors later and was going to go straight from the class but now I wil have to hang around at home untill its time to go to the appoinment

Tonight is the night they mess around with the clocks again, so it will be dark earlier, according to the clock tomorrow, which is shame really, as its dark enough as it is at this time of year, they should be turning the clock forward really so that we get more light in the evening, but I guess that would mean it would be dark in the morning, and those who get up early might not like that, but there are street lights these days, these old rules need changing.  Apparently it is something to do with Scotland that they 'need' it lighter in the morning, well I wish they would have got their independence and we could be spared this messing around with the clock.  Apparenlty this messing around is bad for some people's health and it has been reported that some people suffer a heart attack.  Well I guess its going to happen so I might aswell just accept it, at least the weather makes stupid things like this a bit more bareable ,it has not been too badk today and its not going t...

Neighbours.

 Twol things you can't choose in life, your neighbours. and your relatives. I have not been. very lucky.really with neighbours. Well, I guess there have been some. that have been OK, but most of the time they.'ve been ****.  I have just seen. the son of a neighbour. who? got me a load of **** from. morons in. this village. H I have a piece of land. which has a which has an easement on it as part of the property. and the neighbour has access to his hut from it. The**** parked his motorbike on it one day and things got out of hand. It was a very. pressing situation. especially when he got other people involved. it was nothing to do with the son, obviously, but I guess there are. tensions there. On the other side, I have. a neighbour who is put up this big **** **** fence. which makes my garden a lot darker now, he used to be an ok chap I used to talk to him a lot but this horrible fence has damageed that relationship. strife

My laptop has been acting up for the past few days, refusing to shut down properly. I suspect it got stuck on an update. I tried restoring it but lost patience and ended up resetting it, which wiped out all my apps and data—a total hassle. On top of that, I got an email today about a pair of glasses I ordered online. Normally, I wouldn’t buy glasses this way, but it was my only option at the time. I had spoken with an optometrist about the order but decided to place it myself since it seemed they were just ordering them online anyway, and no options were available in-store. I searched for my old prescriptions at home but couldn’t find last year’s, so I had to visit the shop to request a copy. I sent it to them, but this morning I got an email saying the copy was blurry and missing key details.
