smart meter

 I have discovered banana bread and how to make it, its verty nice and I have made loads of it so far and if I keep on making them and eating them at this rate I will start to put weight one and that won't be good but its very moreish though that's the problem and its not that easy to make,  I was hoping to cook it in the air fryer but the tin won't fit in my eir fryer which is a bit of a pain so I use the oven thankfully |I don't have a large oven that costs a lot to run though cooker is gotting on a bit now and is probably expensive to run.

I have ordered a smart meter but am worried I will be obsessively watching to see whats on and then switching things off in the winter when I probably need to have them on just to save money, it will be easier for me though not having to go and get readings, they put a new cover on the gas meter the other day and I was not fussed about having to look for a key everytime I needed to get reading but now it does not matter as I will not have to go and get a reading as the smart meter will be in the house and they will be able to bil me when its due and nto estimates, I am not too sure why it has taken me so long to get one but as they say I am paying for it anyway as its the robbing standing charge these utility companies are just crooks really and extort moeny from people.

I have applied to mover house, these are new houses and it would be good to have a new house which is chaeper to run than this old damp cold thing.  The rent is more though so it might be more expensive int the long run, we shall see what happens.Its not so cold right now just damp the rain is still coming down we have had enough to it really but there is not a lot we can do but put up with it.

I ordered a rain coat this morning off the net as its not that easy to get anywhere by public transport round here these days I hope I don't get ripped off like I was on ebay when I had to pay the return postage of one that I had previously ordered, the size is the most difficult thing to estimate I really don't want to send this one back.

The sun seems to be trying to come out so there might be a chance of some washing being dried today we shall see, The sun coming out will be good for the commuity pub, as people can use its revamped garden, the place ain't going too well righ now not enough money is coming in which is not surprising as apparently poverty is rife in rural areas these days also the people running it seem to be struggling, closing a hour earlier than usual when the pub was packed, getting outside caterers when there is a kitchen there, turning custom away it will have to get sorted or the place will not work out 

The smart metre is being put in tomorrow. I hope they don't make a mess And I hope it's in an accessible area where I can read what it says on it. It'll save me having to take readings from now on, I guess I am. For it's a new air spoil. So I might as well have one.

Well I achieved something last night, which I thought was going to be beyond me, I guess to a lot of people what I achieved, was pretty trivial, but I guess we all see things different;ly, what I achieved was to get over 170 score in a whist drive.  Last night was the first time I had ever done it, had a few scores in the 160's but not in the 170's which I see as the holy grail of scores to get as you will probably win then, which in fact I didn't last night, someone scored more than me, by 1 point.  I was not that bothered about that, all I was concerned about was getting a score above 170, I have been going to whist for years off and on and was never, until last night able to get the magic score, I am surprised I got the score last night as I had a bad headache all evening, I guess it was the luck of the cards that got me through. great war

I went to an exhibition today, which was about the first world war, it mainly seemed to be full of photos of men from my home village who had fallen in the great war, they were all young obviously not ravaged by time.  It was a bit sad to think that so many young men from the place where I grew up were killed, it had their names and the names of where they lived, the names of houses and streets are the same today Sometimes you feel the outside world does not affect what happens here, but I guess it must do as it dragged a load of the young men here into the conflict which was going on at that time, I am not sure I agree with them going to fight, but that is neither here nor there, the fact is they did and that was what was going on at that time. My grandfather was in the first world war, but he was lucky enough to survive, even though he did leave his calf muscle over there in wherever he was, it must have been hell for him really and I guess I will never know what he saw there, al

I did not go the 4th day of the walk, I could not face another 10 miles of plodding around the countryside, I think this is mainly due to the fact that I have not been walking quite so much in the last year, due to bad weather and things like that.  I did not think I would even finish 2 days but I did 3 in the end, more than anyone else except the person who organised the walk.   Instead of going on the walk i tidied up around the place, and just sat around, and also watched the football this afternoon, it was a crap day.  I did not even go for a short walk, its still perishing out there, I have a short walk on Wednesday, a kind of trail run for group who want to do this short walk, a recky or something they call it. I have at last heard when the new kitchen is being put in, apparently its on the !0th of April, I should have a received a 21 day notice but I didn't, which I guess is typical of the organisation who are doing the work.
