The traffic round here has become awful its a bloody nuisance so much of it about rhese days that you crave for the lockdown again and the crap that that might bring too.


I went for wonder round the grave yard this morning hoping to find a certain grave but I did not manage it I came across some names of places in the village which I did not know existed I guess its way of finding out what the place names, house names are called I guess.  


The inscriptions on the stones are hard to read now some have been there for nearly 200 hundred years.  Some are in Welsh and some are in English which is interesting obviously bilingualism is long established here.  Some of the grave are disrepair and you wonder what will happen to them.  I guess graveyard are a record of social history


Th weather is not so great today its ok but its has been a bit damp hopefully it will hold until thursday as i am off for a walk well an amble down hill \I guess it is Bleanau to Maentwrog.  I will help in the reduction of the lockdown belly I have hopefully.


I am thinking about applying for the role of councillor for this village there are two vacancies and its sad that the place has not representation on the council.  The council is made up of three areas I am not sure I have much to contribute to council which mainly concerned about the things going on in the town up the road.  The village is older than the town I am not sure they discuss the areas on their own. I will have to look into this.

Well I achieved something last night, which I thought was going to be beyond me, I guess to a lot of people what I achieved, was pretty trivial, but I guess we all see things different;ly, what I achieved was to get over 170 score in a whist drive.  Last night was the first time I had ever done it, had a few scores in the 160's but not in the 170's which I see as the holy grail of scores to get as you will probably win then, which in fact I didn't last night, someone scored more than me, by 1 point.  I was not that bothered about that, all I was concerned about was getting a score above 170, I have been going to whist for years off and on and was never, until last night able to get the magic score, I am surprised I got the score last night as I had a bad headache all evening, I guess it was the luck of the cards that got me through. great war

I went to an exhibition today, which was about the first world war, it mainly seemed to be full of photos of men from my home village who had fallen in the great war, they were all young obviously not ravaged by time.  It was a bit sad to think that so many young men from the place where I grew up were killed, it had their names and the names of where they lived, the names of houses and streets are the same today Sometimes you feel the outside world does not affect what happens here, but I guess it must do as it dragged a load of the young men here into the conflict which was going on at that time, I am not sure I agree with them going to fight, but that is neither here nor there, the fact is they did and that was what was going on at that time. My grandfather was in the first world war, but he was lucky enough to survive, even though he did leave his calf muscle over there in wherever he was, it must have been hell for him really and I guess I will never know what he saw there, al

I did not go the 4th day of the walk, I could not face another 10 miles of plodding around the countryside, I think this is mainly due to the fact that I have not been walking quite so much in the last year, due to bad weather and things like that.  I did not think I would even finish 2 days but I did 3 in the end, more than anyone else except the person who organised the walk.   Instead of going on the walk i tidied up around the place, and just sat around, and also watched the football this afternoon, it was a crap day.  I did not even go for a short walk, its still perishing out there, I have a short walk on Wednesday, a kind of trail run for group who want to do this short walk, a recky or something they call it. I have at last heard when the new kitchen is being put in, apparently its on the !0th of April, I should have a received a 21 day notice but I didn't, which I guess is typical of the organisation who are doing the work.
