gloomy monday

I went to the dentist this morning as another bit of tooth had fallen off again seems like bit by bit I am falling apart due to age I gues.  I knew it would not been too bad a job and that I would not get the drill which was good so I was not too nervous this time.

 I was late going in but eventually got it done some stuff was shoved in there and stuck with glue into the tooth with which the bit had fallen off that is.  The effcct of this treatment has had a beneficial effect besides fixing the hole it has dampened down the jagged edge of another tooth with sometimes I get into a habit of sticking my tounge against repetatively I guess that will stop now thankfully.

 Went and did a stint at the foodbank again and was hoping to get the bus home but it went straight past so I have to wait for another one now which is why I am in the library doing this. I will report the driver.


I still have not heard about the job I went for last week its a bit rude that they keep me waiting this long maybe they can't be bothered to contact me at all which is a regular thing recently due to the charity not getting back to me either.  I think its very rude maybe they will  contact me tomorrow we shall see I guess there is not a lot I can do about it I can't really phone them up really.

 I am thinking about buy an imac computer to help with making teh musit but I am not too sure about the specs I fed up these laptops making noises due to not being able to handle the making the music computers seem a bit unsstable I guess I am not sure if I would get the use of it though we shall if this black friday thing throws up a deal.

Well I achieved something last night, which I thought was going to be beyond me, I guess to a lot of people what I achieved, was pretty trivial, but I guess we all see things different;ly, what I achieved was to get over 170 score in a whist drive.  Last night was the first time I had ever done it, had a few scores in the 160's but not in the 170's which I see as the holy grail of scores to get as you will probably win then, which in fact I didn't last night, someone scored more than me, by 1 point.  I was not that bothered about that, all I was concerned about was getting a score above 170, I have been going to whist for years off and on and was never, until last night able to get the magic score, I am surprised I got the score last night as I had a bad headache all evening, I guess it was the luck of the cards that got me through. I thought I would never get the score, as I don't see very well, and struggle to make out the cards sometimes which is a bit of a strain,

great war

I went to an exhibition today, which was about the first world war, it mainly seemed to be full of photos of men from my home village who had fallen in the great war, they were all young obviously not ravaged by time.  It was a bit sad to think that so many young men from the place where I grew up were killed, it had their names and the names of where they lived, the names of houses and streets are the same today Sometimes you feel the outside world does not affect what happens here, but I guess it must do as it dragged a load of the young men here into the conflict which was going on at that time, I am not sure I agree with them going to fight, but that is neither here nor there, the fact is they did and that was what was going on at that time. My grandfather was in the first world war, but he was lucky enough to survive, even though he did leave his calf muscle over there in wherever he was, it must have been hell for him really and I guess I will never know what he saw there, al

I did not go the 4th day of the walk, I could not face another 10 miles of plodding around the countryside, I think this is mainly due to the fact that I have not been walking quite so much in the last year, due to bad weather and things like that.  I did not think I would even finish 2 days but I did 3 in the end, more than anyone else except the person who organised the walk.   Instead of going on the walk i tidied up around the place, and just sat around, and also watched the football this afternoon, it was a crap day.  I did not even go for a short walk, its still perishing out there, I have a short walk on Wednesday, a kind of trail run for group who want to do this short walk, a recky or something they call it. I have at last heard when the new kitchen is being put in, apparently its on the !0th of April, I should have a received a 21 day notice but I didn't, which I guess is typical of the organisation who are doing the work.
