windy wednesday

Twitter is officially a moron it has blocked my account for a stupid reason.  I put in the date birth as for 6 years ago as that is the age of the business it has blocked the account as it has to be 13, well hopefully it will one day.  It is plainly obvious to any fool that it is not a 13 year old's account and anyway an under 13 would not their date of birth there in the first place.  It is a lot of hastle getting them to understand this I need to send some ID I guess I could send any ID as anyone could the system is pathetic and does nothing for anyone except cause trouble for people.  I have sent them a passport pic which has been a real hastle to get as my camera on the phone has broken so I have used the laptop camera hopefully this is the end of the stupid matter.

There was anther power cut today due to the strong wind I guess so I went on the bus as I was not going to sit around here all day waiting for it come back when I did come back about 2 it had returned which game the chance to get the words to a song I have been trying to get I found it hard to hear the word on the recording so was hoping to be able to get a copy I even rang the record company who were not the record company as it seems they are just using the song on compliation.  

I eventually managed to get most of the words from listening to the song on a stereo it was not easy but I got there by using headphones the words are really silly but the tune is good ..well I like it anyway the song is in Welsh and is called Wil coes bren and is sung by Hogiau'r Deulyn who are not around any more but the words are on the song it would have been nice not to have to struggle to get them off the CD anyway its done I have them.  I did think that if the people who know the song now are not around anymore the song will disappear but I guess its possible to get so the song will survive which the magic of recording I guess they are are there for posterity.

Well I achieved something last night, which I thought was going to be beyond me, I guess to a lot of people what I achieved, was pretty trivial, but I guess we all see things different;ly, what I achieved was to get over 170 score in a whist drive.  Last night was the first time I had ever done it, had a few scores in the 160's but not in the 170's which I see as the holy grail of scores to get as you will probably win then, which in fact I didn't last night, someone scored more than me, by 1 point.  I was not that bothered about that, all I was concerned about was getting a score above 170, I have been going to whist for years off and on and was never, until last night able to get the magic score, I am surprised I got the score last night as I had a bad headache all evening, I guess it was the luck of the cards that got me through. great war

I went to an exhibition today, which was about the first world war, it mainly seemed to be full of photos of men from my home village who had fallen in the great war, they were all young obviously not ravaged by time.  It was a bit sad to think that so many young men from the place where I grew up were killed, it had their names and the names of where they lived, the names of houses and streets are the same today Sometimes you feel the outside world does not affect what happens here, but I guess it must do as it dragged a load of the young men here into the conflict which was going on at that time, I am not sure I agree with them going to fight, but that is neither here nor there, the fact is they did and that was what was going on at that time. My grandfather was in the first world war, but he was lucky enough to survive, even though he did leave his calf muscle over there in wherever he was, it must have been hell for him really and I guess I will never know what he saw there, al

I did not go the 4th day of the walk, I could not face another 10 miles of plodding around the countryside, I think this is mainly due to the fact that I have not been walking quite so much in the last year, due to bad weather and things like that.  I did not think I would even finish 2 days but I did 3 in the end, more than anyone else except the person who organised the walk.   Instead of going on the walk i tidied up around the place, and just sat around, and also watched the football this afternoon, it was a crap day.  I did not even go for a short walk, its still perishing out there, I have a short walk on Wednesday, a kind of trail run for group who want to do this short walk, a recky or something they call it. I have at last heard when the new kitchen is being put in, apparently its on the !0th of April, I should have a received a 21 day notice but I didn't, which I guess is typical of the organisation who are doing the work.
