old fool

Now I get free travel due to the disability I have free travel on the bus and on some train routes round here, but I do moan sometimes about the lack of lifts I get these days in relation to the past I don't know if that is to do with the attitude or maybe I am not such an attractive pick up these days who knows.

 Yesterday I was offered two lifts and for some unknown reason I turned them both down well the only reason I can think of is that I was being daft as the reason I gave myself for doing it were not really any good as I could have done the things that I wanted to today and also if I had accepted the lift I would not have had to go on the bus full of school kids which I am sure is illegal,  illegal to have so many of them in the bus they fill the thing up.

 I guess there is a consolation to this the fact that I got the book ordered and the bill paid, I guess it will be a long time before I get offered a lift home..

 Well its very grey outside to I am playing some what is supposed to be uplifting music but Coldplay is on it so I guess it will not have that affect I can skip it I guess as the free streaming does allow for a couple of skips I am not sure whether to pay the subscription fora  streaming service it seems quite handy to have the music there when you want it ie you can have any music you like and it gives you the chance to listen to something else, at the moment Septmeber by earth wind and fire is playing which is quite approcpriate as it is September though the weather suggest October or November though its not warm

 I am playing the music through this bose speaker which I bought ot listen to the tv to as the volume on these thin tvs is not very good but this speaker seems to have  good sound quality to play music through I am not sure whether the quality is better through these streaming sites as opposed the youtube sites or any other way of playing music on the internet.  I guess with the streaming sites you can get rid of the old cds and tapes and the vinyl stuff too though the vinyl might be on the streaming sites.

 I am down to go to a course on computers for jobseekers today but I am not if its the right course I have done loads of computer courses in the past and maybe the people who are to work with me later on will be able to help me out so might give this course a miss this course was third choice but the first one is not taking place the confidence building one and the spanish one is not practical due to the shit bus service that is present round here.

 Billy Jean is playing at the moment on the streaming service.  I have today started to apply for my first ever job with a CV I havent actually decided to send a random CV its what they want for some reason   I guess it saves filling in a tedious application form.

Well I achieved something last night, which I thought was going to be beyond me, I guess to a lot of people what I achieved, was pretty trivial, but I guess we all see things different;ly, what I achieved was to get over 170 score in a whist drive.  Last night was the first time I had ever done it, had a few scores in the 160's but not in the 170's which I see as the holy grail of scores to get as you will probably win then, which in fact I didn't last night, someone scored more than me, by 1 point.  I was not that bothered about that, all I was concerned about was getting a score above 170, I have been going to whist for years off and on and was never, until last night able to get the magic score, I am surprised I got the score last night as I had a bad headache all evening, I guess it was the luck of the cards that got me through. great war

I went to an exhibition today, which was about the first world war, it mainly seemed to be full of photos of men from my home village who had fallen in the great war, they were all young obviously not ravaged by time.  It was a bit sad to think that so many young men from the place where I grew up were killed, it had their names and the names of where they lived, the names of houses and streets are the same today Sometimes you feel the outside world does not affect what happens here, but I guess it must do as it dragged a load of the young men here into the conflict which was going on at that time, I am not sure I agree with them going to fight, but that is neither here nor there, the fact is they did and that was what was going on at that time. My grandfather was in the first world war, but he was lucky enough to survive, even though he did leave his calf muscle over there in wherever he was, it must have been hell for him really and I guess I will never know what he saw there, al

I did not go the 4th day of the walk, I could not face another 10 miles of plodding around the countryside, I think this is mainly due to the fact that I have not been walking quite so much in the last year, due to bad weather and things like that.  I did not think I would even finish 2 days but I did 3 in the end, more than anyone else except the person who organised the walk.   Instead of going on the walk i tidied up around the place, and just sat around, and also watched the football this afternoon, it was a crap day.  I did not even go for a short walk, its still perishing out there, I have a short walk on Wednesday, a kind of trail run for group who want to do this short walk, a recky or something they call it. I have at last heard when the new kitchen is being put in, apparently its on the !0th of April, I should have a received a 21 day notice but I didn't, which I guess is typical of the organisation who are doing the work.
