Music creation

This is another post about my attempt at music production.  Since the beginning my quest to write a house music track, I was told to have the drum part coming in for about 8 bars,. well I just painted them in on the midi thing in a pattern resembling a deep house style of pattern, I did not know if it was deep house or not and I would not be able tell if it was different from any other genre which produced its music on computer.  After I had 'put in' the drums I would make a bassline which sound ed not to bad and then forget about the drums really and just try to put in some chords and some tune in the hope that a house track would magically appear, the teacher just let me carry on really I guess this is a symptom of my life in general where I suppose I was lookjng for something to occupy my time really to stop feeling so much overwhelming anxiety all the time.

Anyway back to music production, by forgetting about a drum, which of course is part of the song itself, this deep house song I am intending to create though I know nothing about house music well I guess I knwo a bit more now, I think.  I guess when building a something its important to hae a strong foundation, and the drums are the founddation of this kind of music, as te teacher has said/.

I am now trying to listen to as much house music as possible, the only one which I can relae to to is the disco house one the Dean Hale track going on about taking time out is a good one as is te Nora En Pure one called True, I like those as well as the Phillip George one taking the Stevie Wonder sample.

At the moment I am also creating a drum track which I hope will end in a house tune, I have varied the drums in the different bars to make it more interesting and hopefully it will lead to more interesting bass line, I have tune, but maybe that will change too, I guess I need to be open minded in this situation,  To be open minded hopefully will lead to something decent being created

Well I achieved something last night, which I thought was going to be beyond me, I guess to a lot of people what I achieved, was pretty trivial, but I guess we all see things different;ly, what I achieved was to get over 170 score in a whist drive.  Last night was the first time I had ever done it, had a few scores in the 160's but not in the 170's which I see as the holy grail of scores to get as you will probably win then, which in fact I didn't last night, someone scored more than me, by 1 point.  I was not that bothered about that, all I was concerned about was getting a score above 170, I have been going to whist for years off and on and was never, until last night able to get the magic score, I am surprised I got the score last night as I had a bad headache all evening, I guess it was the luck of the cards that got me through. I thought I would never get the score, as I don't see very well, and struggle to make out the cards sometimes which is a bit of a strain,

great war

I went to an exhibition today, which was about the first world war, it mainly seemed to be full of photos of men from my home village who had fallen in the great war, they were all young obviously not ravaged by time.  It was a bit sad to think that so many young men from the place where I grew up were killed, it had their names and the names of where they lived, the names of houses and streets are the same today Sometimes you feel the outside world does not affect what happens here, but I guess it must do as it dragged a load of the young men here into the conflict which was going on at that time, I am not sure I agree with them going to fight, but that is neither here nor there, the fact is they did and that was what was going on at that time. My grandfather was in the first world war, but he was lucky enough to survive, even though he did leave his calf muscle over there in wherever he was, it must have been hell for him really and I guess I will never know what he saw there, al

I did not go the 4th day of the walk, I could not face another 10 miles of plodding around the countryside, I think this is mainly due to the fact that I have not been walking quite so much in the last year, due to bad weather and things like that.  I did not think I would even finish 2 days but I did 3 in the end, more than anyone else except the person who organised the walk.   Instead of going on the walk i tidied up around the place, and just sat around, and also watched the football this afternoon, it was a crap day.  I did not even go for a short walk, its still perishing out there, I have a short walk on Wednesday, a kind of trail run for group who want to do this short walk, a recky or something they call it. I have at last heard when the new kitchen is being put in, apparently its on the !0th of April, I should have a received a 21 day notice but I didn't, which I guess is typical of the organisation who are doing the work.
