Yes Cymru


 I received my Yes Cymru membership card through the post yesterday and a poster which I put up in the window. I don't usually put politcal posters up but thought why not in relation to this one and I live on the A470 so I might aswell take advantage of that fact.

Another reason to do it was to thank them for their free night of entertainment they are providing in Blaenau Ffestiniog, there is one coming up next friday it includes a singer and someone talking about independence I am not too enamoured by the singer but the speaker might be good who knows its just nice that its mainly a welsh language get together somewhere apart from the pub.

There is a Yes Cymru march in May in Swansea which unless there is a coach from here, I will not be going to as its too far away and I am not going on the orrible long train journey and I really don't want to stay over night

I am not too sure where we are with the independence campaign it seems to be at a stop right now except for social media

I had walk around a local farm where the farmer has passed away, the sheep there I don't think are being fed properly which is sad, hopefully spring will come and they will ger some decent grass to feed on soon.

This card is the second card I have added to my wallet in last few days I bought a loyalty card for the local pub you pay a fiver and get some money off your beer which is a good thing as the rises were horrendous. I actually think I will be paying less for the beer than I was before they did not have any last night though of what I drink usually  I guess they ran out of most things last weekend

Well I achieved something last night, which I thought was going to be beyond me, I guess to a lot of people what I achieved, was pretty trivial, but I guess we all see things different;ly, what I achieved was to get over 170 score in a whist drive.  Last night was the first time I had ever done it, had a few scores in the 160's but not in the 170's which I see as the holy grail of scores to get as you will probably win then, which in fact I didn't last night, someone scored more than me, by 1 point.  I was not that bothered about that, all I was concerned about was getting a score above 170, I have been going to whist for years off and on and was never, until last night able to get the magic score, I am surprised I got the score last night as I had a bad headache all evening, I guess it was the luck of the cards that got me through. I thought I would never get the score, as I don't see very well, and struggle to make out the cards sometimes which is a bit of a strain,

great war

I went to an exhibition today, which was about the first world war, it mainly seemed to be full of photos of men from my home village who had fallen in the great war, they were all young obviously not ravaged by time.  It was a bit sad to think that so many young men from the place where I grew up were killed, it had their names and the names of where they lived, the names of houses and streets are the same today Sometimes you feel the outside world does not affect what happens here, but I guess it must do as it dragged a load of the young men here into the conflict which was going on at that time, I am not sure I agree with them going to fight, but that is neither here nor there, the fact is they did and that was what was going on at that time. My grandfather was in the first world war, but he was lucky enough to survive, even though he did leave his calf muscle over there in wherever he was, it must have been hell for him really and I guess I will never know what he saw there, al

I did not go the 4th day of the walk, I could not face another 10 miles of plodding around the countryside, I think this is mainly due to the fact that I have not been walking quite so much in the last year, due to bad weather and things like that.  I did not think I would even finish 2 days but I did 3 in the end, more than anyone else except the person who organised the walk.   Instead of going on the walk i tidied up around the place, and just sat around, and also watched the football this afternoon, it was a crap day.  I did not even go for a short walk, its still perishing out there, I have a short walk on Wednesday, a kind of trail run for group who want to do this short walk, a recky or something they call it. I have at last heard when the new kitchen is being put in, apparently its on the !0th of April, I should have a received a 21 day notice but I didn't, which I guess is typical of the organisation who are doing the work.
