river

The weather is nice today so I felt obliged to go out for walk so off I went to the usual route I guess of along the river as I have said before the locals seem to be using the route a lot more in this strange time we are in.  They talk of a second lockdown I am still in the first one nothing has returned for me yet, well maybe in strange form to the usual.

I managed to get a parcel back to this company this mornng they claimed it was easy it was not easy at all it took two days of being in the house to do it its real pain in the ass,  Talking of pain in the ass I also had a physio appointment over the phone this morning in another strange development you wonder if anything is back to the way it was I guess it won't be until the wretched social distancing has been got rid of 

After a bit of messing around i finally got the exercises that I need to do to help with the pain.  I spent some money this morning in the shop as oppossed to using the card some money that appeared in my pockets, everything is changing in this situaation I have no idea where any kind of normallity is at all. the whole thing is very disconcerting.

When I go for walk these days I spend a lot longer out as there is nothing to rush home for there is nothing this is also refelected in the way I walk or these days I amble I guess in no hurry ar all to get anywahere I guess its I guess things are just slowed down now no distractions for normal life I guess

Well I achieved something last night, which I thought was going to be beyond me, I guess to a lot of people what I achieved, was pretty trivial, but I guess we all see things different;ly, what I achieved was to get over 170 score in a whist drive.  Last night was the first time I had ever done it, had a few scores in the 160's but not in the 170's which I see as the holy grail of scores to get as you will probably win then, which in fact I didn't last night, someone scored more than me, by 1 point.  I was not that bothered about that, all I was concerned about was getting a score above 170, I have been going to whist for years off and on and was never, until last night able to get the magic score, I am surprised I got the score last night as I had a bad headache all evening, I guess it was the luck of the cards that got me through. great war

I went to an exhibition today, which was about the first world war, it mainly seemed to be full of photos of men from my home village who had fallen in the great war, they were all young obviously not ravaged by time.  It was a bit sad to think that so many young men from the place where I grew up were killed, it had their names and the names of where they lived, the names of houses and streets are the same today Sometimes you feel the outside world does not affect what happens here, but I guess it must do as it dragged a load of the young men here into the conflict which was going on at that time, I am not sure I agree with them going to fight, but that is neither here nor there, the fact is they did and that was what was going on at that time. My grandfather was in the first world war, but he was lucky enough to survive, even though he did leave his calf muscle over there in wherever he was, it must have been hell for him really and I guess I will never know what he saw there, al

I did not go the 4th day of the walk, I could not face another 10 miles of plodding around the countryside, I think this is mainly due to the fact that I have not been walking quite so much in the last year, due to bad weather and things like that.  I did not think I would even finish 2 days but I did 3 in the end, more than anyone else except the person who organised the walk.   Instead of going on the walk i tidied up around the place, and just sat around, and also watched the football this afternoon, it was a crap day.  I did not even go for a short walk, its still perishing out there, I have a short walk on Wednesday, a kind of trail run for group who want to do this short walk, a recky or something they call it. I have at last heard when the new kitchen is being put in, apparently its on the !0th of April, I should have a received a 21 day notice but I didn't, which I guess is typical of the organisation who are doing the work.
