I am still stuck in March nothing has changed today what was taken away then has not been restored at all not one bit and is really frustrating.

As well as the frustration it was another negative experience of going to the local shop the customer service is hit and miss.  The lack of changes and the unwelcome changes during this pandemic will probably cause more damage than the virus could ever do, this pandemic has be appaulingly managed by the politicians in this country and there will be repurcussions but we have to get through a second wave with these shithouse administrations first which is not a very position to be in.

I decided to walk to the next town I was surprised to see how many people were walking on the side of the road it was like the old days when people used to walk up there while looking for lifts I guess maybe more are walking as no picks them up maybe they usually walk but obviously can't get picked up now due to the virus or maybe they don't want to go on the bus also there is a lot of people maybe staying local as there is no where to go really well nothing is the same so maybe they just stay at home.

I did end up on a bus again which is not a nice experience these days when you have to put on a facecovering but I guess that's how it is.

I was trying to contact someone today about a situation at the foodbank where people seem to be getting food only by having to give their name and address the usual agencies are shut so it seems a free for all right now which is not good especially in time like this when need is greater.

Well I achieved something last night, which I thought was going to be beyond me, I guess to a lot of people what I achieved, was pretty trivial, but I guess we all see things different;ly, what I achieved was to get over 170 score in a whist drive.  Last night was the first time I had ever done it, had a few scores in the 160's but not in the 170's which I see as the holy grail of scores to get as you will probably win then, which in fact I didn't last night, someone scored more than me, by 1 point.  I was not that bothered about that, all I was concerned about was getting a score above 170, I have been going to whist for years off and on and was never, until last night able to get the magic score, I am surprised I got the score last night as I had a bad headache all evening, I guess it was the luck of the cards that got me through. I thought I would never get the score, as I don't see very well, and struggle to make out the cards sometimes which is a bit of a strain,

great war

I went to an exhibition today, which was about the first world war, it mainly seemed to be full of photos of men from my home village who had fallen in the great war, they were all young obviously not ravaged by time.  It was a bit sad to think that so many young men from the place where I grew up were killed, it had their names and the names of where they lived, the names of houses and streets are the same today Sometimes you feel the outside world does not affect what happens here, but I guess it must do as it dragged a load of the young men here into the conflict which was going on at that time, I am not sure I agree with them going to fight, but that is neither here nor there, the fact is they did and that was what was going on at that time. My grandfather was in the first world war, but he was lucky enough to survive, even though he did leave his calf muscle over there in wherever he was, it must have been hell for him really and I guess I will never know what he saw there, al

I did not go the 4th day of the walk, I could not face another 10 miles of plodding around the countryside, I think this is mainly due to the fact that I have not been walking quite so much in the last year, due to bad weather and things like that.  I did not think I would even finish 2 days but I did 3 in the end, more than anyone else except the person who organised the walk.   Instead of going on the walk i tidied up around the place, and just sat around, and also watched the football this afternoon, it was a crap day.  I did not even go for a short walk, its still perishing out there, I have a short walk on Wednesday, a kind of trail run for group who want to do this short walk, a recky or something they call it. I have at last heard when the new kitchen is being put in, apparently its on the !0th of April, I should have a received a 21 day notice but I didn't, which I guess is typical of the organisation who are doing the work.
