soggy monday

It seems summer has disappeared for now anyway it is very wet and cold not like you would expect June to be at all but I guess there is not a lot I can do about it. My curtains arrived today the chap who delivered them was not doing much social distancing at all but oh well I guess people think this pandemic is over well its not over yet.  The curtains are not exactly what I wanted but they will have to do I guess.  I have hung them up I used a chair to stand on to do it which has become a bit rickety lately I thought they would have lasted longer than they have done but nothing lasts forever I guess not even this pandemic. I took the bus later on and the mask was in action again and my glasses get streamed up. which is a nuisacne but there is not a lot I can do about that either. I contacted summerhill school on Norfolk which was based here during the war about them putting a  plaque up in the building where it was based to commenmorate the occasion I guess I had not thought of the co

laptop problems

So far the day has been wretched to say the least the laptop won't work properly its been playing up since last night for some reason I have felt like standing on it as its so frustraing I do have another old one so I guess it will have to do for now. I went shopping this afternoon and thought I had lost something on the on the bus but I had lost dropped it here it was a relief  but its just another episode in a bad day. The weather is also rubbish today but I guess its difficult to complain as we have had a really nice time in relation to a lot of sun I am sure the weather  will go back to being nice at some point soon as its still on June. Also I had to wear a mask on the bus again which is uncomfortable but I suppose its how it will be now for length of time.

dam

Image
This is pic of the hydro electric dam a pump storage hydro dam which briwas built in the early 1960 the first one in Britain apparently this is an iconic image round here in the winter photos are taken of it covered in snow and like today they are taken of it in the bright sunshine.  This can supply electric for a few hours for the whole of north wales apparently. It is very warm today but there is a nice breeze around it is going to change they say even though I hope not I will have to see what happens anyway. It is not possible to see the dam today as its a bit soggy today but I guess we can't complain as we have had some decent weather this year

fish and chips

I went for a take away today and had something different to the usual sausage and chips I had a small fish instead I as not sure whether to go the sandwich shop or the fish and chip shop the sandwich shop required cash which is a bit odd in this environment most people use cards tthese days as they are more hygenic also I did not fancy the same thing as I have everytime I do this as I find the menu there inaccessible which is frustrating but the main reason |I went to the chippy was the card thing I could not be bothered to take money out.  The menu in the chippy\ I saw today is also accessible but not as accessible as it would be if it was up on their facebook page where I can access it more easily than at present.  The fish was very nice and a change from the usual sausage. I have to wear a face covering now which is stuffy on the bus but it seems like I will have to get use to it, there were not that many shops open today I guess the people are not there to go into them in the first

quiet days

Monday is here again and the bit of work I do at the foodbank which seems to be easing off a bit now.  The place is packed full of stuff and I hope it does not go waste.  The bank used to be or maybe still is run by the church but the council now supplies it with food apparently I guess it would not be possible for the church to run it now as they are closed at the moment. The shops are open today though but in the next town it did not seem like to me when I went up there on the bus which I have to wear a mask on now and its a bit awkward as my glasses get steamed up its a bit uncomfortable its not very sensible when the thing is nearly empty either but I guess those are the rules that I have to abide by to get on the bus now. My sunburn is a bit better today I did not realise I was getting burnt until I got home I guess the sun is a bit sly like that.  Its not very summery today but its dry its every dull and overcast. I did not have any sound on the browser and I had muted it I guess

storm

I see that some local businesses are opening their doors but they only have locals around to buy stuff I feel that I should support local but I guess |I feel that they should support the disability commuity too in return namely the visual impaired community I guess, I went to local sandwich shop  today and got a sandwich but their menu is not accessible  to me as I am visually impaired so I guess why should I support that shop its an awkward one. My internet was knocked out by the storm last night and so was the electricity  the internet has come back now which is good as I am not going to go anywhere  today as its soggy.   I had to go to the next town to get some things today as the local shop has shut due to the virus thing I don't know how serious it is maybe they want a holiday as they have been busy or something. I got on the bus the other day and the driver told me that the face covering I had was not the right kind of covering it had to be a mask I did not say anything even

magnifier

Today I go again to help out in the foodbank I am only there for an hour but I guess I am relied upon to be there and I guess am fullfilling a role.  In the beginning I think that going to the foodbank was more for my benefit than there's.  I am sure it has been a bit stressful for the ones who were in the ood bank all the time to be giving food parcels to their neighbours by full time I mean 5 days a week Going today might be a bit awkward as I encountered a stroppy bus driver on saturday who was not happy with my face covering but this is all I have right now so it will have to do until something better comes along anyway his website says face covering it does not specify what typ of covering that is needed. I enjoy home recording and have recently realised how useful the magnifier can be in the process of using a DAW which can be a bit cluttered and its hard to see what is what sometimes the magnifier can zoom in probably much better than the zoom function on the DAW I wish I ha

boring

It is a lot warmer today but we are still in this nightmare situation of this pandemic and having to be 2 m apart and being advised to ware masks apparently in england it will be law  I chatted to someone on facebook who were trying to locate a friend I said I would help I went back to the post this afternoon and it has been deleted by the person who put it up there or by the admin of the page I remember the person's name I will let the person who they were trying to locate now that someone was looking for them.   This lockdown thing is going on too long now it just seems to be going on and on its a real drag its about time it came to an end if you ask me its boring very boring

weekend

Another end to another week to week in lockdown in Wales.  The weather has not seen so good this week it has been ok but its a bit colder than you would expect for june but i guess we can't really complain after two months of fine weather and summer might and probably will pop back for a while I am dreading the winter even more this year due to this pandemic this social distancing is hard enough in summer it will hell in winter I just hope the pubs are open by then its hard to know where this is all going its a very strange time it is interesting in some parts I guess but it can also be pretty boring too a real durge for want of a better word. I am not sure what to do again today they did say the libraries would be open but I guess that has been shelved for now wish they would not say things and then not do them.

song

The weather is not so nice today its not that warm either for June really, I did not do much this morning except practise playing a to a metronome I then went to do some shopping the chippy was open so had some chips and a cup of coffee from a local shop I guess its important to support these local businesses at this time while the visitors are prohibited though some have flouted the rules obviously. It was quite straight forward going to tesco no one was waiting to go in so I was in and out quite quickly so it gave a chance to so a couple of other things.   Apparently we are suppose or have been advised to ware a three layered face covering stuff that I will stick to what I have its too warm to ware something like that this time of year I reckon.  On the way home I got a phone call and went off in|Penrhyn where a lady I know wanted to give me a CD with a song on it that she has written and that has been recorded by someone from northumbria its a nice song not my thing as its religious

Monday

It seems that every one is getting frustrated with this lockdown and want to get on with things due to the death rates coming down and the second wave not being believed that it a reality. I went to the foodbank today I am not sure how it works but won't get into it I will just leave them to it and just do the hour that I on a Monday.  The bus was empty again they say not to travel on them only key workers but if I did not use them then no one would so I am keeping the service open. It is really sad that people are protesting against racism in the middle of a pandmic getting out of this shit should be the main purpose now or the message will be washed away I just want this wretched unnatural social distancing to go its horrible and a bloody pain in the ass if they could lessen it a bit

here we go again

It seems like we have by passed summer and gone from spring to autumn hopefully will skip back to spring and summer will follow quickly after.  It has rained quite a bit but I am sure the level of the river is still pretty low even though.  It so chilly the heating has had to be put on a bit  I went to tesco today as usual on saturday and the town is pretty quiet as it usually has been in this lockdown thing.  It is going to be another saturday night stuck in the house and no sign of the pub opening and if it does it will the a strange experience due to the distancing thing but I guess it will be better than nothing whenever that will be.  It seems that normal normal is a long long way away and this headfuck situation is going to be here for a while now which is not good news really it it tough for everyone I understand that but you need the patient of a saint to put up with it.  The 'old' way of doing things seems such so long long ago I am doing things now that I never would

lockdown flouters

It seems I am getting the hang of this new normal at last I don't like it but I am getting better at dealing with it I feel, its not easy the isolation is grim though today I went for a walk on the railway and it was a hive of activity so had few chats about the situation with a few people. I am enjoying walking along the river much more than I use to I guess its because I have less choices maybe so will just get on with doing what/s there will it be difficult to make desicions for a while after this thing as many of my choices now have been taken away from us all I guess its like being in prison we are being told to do this and that like children by people who really have no idea what they are doing they just have money to throw at the problem in the hope they make the right move eventually I guess. The fact that I can't do this or that is a bit confineing I guess and you wonder when will we be let out I suppose.  The flouters of the rules have done a lot of damage to the rela

and on it goes

I have had a sore in my mouth for a few days now probablys another consequence of this lockdown lark I guess.  It seems to be wanting to give me a lot of grief this lockdown both mentally and physically. It is really odd going to the local shop and there is plastic sreen there and you have to put money in box these days this virus has a lot to answer for.  It does not feel like I am in imminant danger of catching this thing but I guess we all have to be try to keep safe for each other. I have started to do a course on the mental health issues surrounding this pandemic I am not too sure if its a good thing or not really  but I guess its interesting in some ways.  I seem to be doing a few courses to pass the time of day I guess as there is not a lot else going on these days' I decided to go for a stroll a short one initially but it ended up a two hour one along the river which is what the pic is of the water was really low, I came across a few people one of them tried to sell me one
