the rain is really coming down today and is here for the day I reckon the sodden as if it wasn't sodden enough with all the previous rain seems like its been raining for months on end this year it was a poor summer again.

 I haven't done much for the charity who I volunteer with recently I am not too sure why probably due to my location I am sure they weill be in touch soon enough. I have had a requiest to befriened a welsh learner I am not too sure now what to do its quite hard work helping someone learn welsh and can test your patience I guess I am not too sure if I am cut out for that kind of thing I have put off making the decision for the last few days but I will have to let someone know soon.

 It seems as if voluntary work is the only work going round here rihgt now due to the fact I don't drive maybe I should look for a better place to live a bigger town where there is more going on and its where people advise to move to moving a is a bit step though but there is nothing here this village is dead and I have occasionally deal with those twats which is a pain.  I guess its hard ot move as you don't know whats at the other end and you could end up in the fire from the frying pan.  I have had this quandry for a long time but there is really nothing here maybe I could strick up better relationships somewhere else its fucking shit round here anyway..  its not going to be much fun round here for the next few months anyway due to it being autumn and winter.

 Time goes quickly which is probably more reason to do something useful with my time as one day I will not be able to I guess. I have written a song I quite like playing now apparently its an old type f song but I guess I am influencd by the olden days who cares as long as its fun I suppose.

Well I achieved something last night, which I thought was going to be beyond me, I guess to a lot of people what I achieved, was pretty trivial, but I guess we all see things different;ly, what I achieved was to get over 170 score in a whist drive.  Last night was the first time I had ever done it, had a few scores in the 160's but not in the 170's which I see as the holy grail of scores to get as you will probably win then, which in fact I didn't last night, someone scored more than me, by 1 point.  I was not that bothered about that, all I was concerned about was getting a score above 170, I have been going to whist for years off and on and was never, until last night able to get the magic score, I am surprised I got the score last night as I had a bad headache all evening, I guess it was the luck of the cards that got me through. great war

I went to an exhibition today, which was about the first world war, it mainly seemed to be full of photos of men from my home village who had fallen in the great war, they were all young obviously not ravaged by time.  It was a bit sad to think that so many young men from the place where I grew up were killed, it had their names and the names of where they lived, the names of houses and streets are the same today Sometimes you feel the outside world does not affect what happens here, but I guess it must do as it dragged a load of the young men here into the conflict which was going on at that time, I am not sure I agree with them going to fight, but that is neither here nor there, the fact is they did and that was what was going on at that time. My grandfather was in the first world war, but he was lucky enough to survive, even though he did leave his calf muscle over there in wherever he was, it must have been hell for him really and I guess I will never know what he saw there, al

I did not go the 4th day of the walk, I could not face another 10 miles of plodding around the countryside, I think this is mainly due to the fact that I have not been walking quite so much in the last year, due to bad weather and things like that.  I did not think I would even finish 2 days but I did 3 in the end, more than anyone else except the person who organised the walk.   Instead of going on the walk i tidied up around the place, and just sat around, and also watched the football this afternoon, it was a crap day.  I did not even go for a short walk, its still perishing out there, I have a short walk on Wednesday, a kind of trail run for group who want to do this short walk, a recky or something they call it. I have at last heard when the new kitchen is being put in, apparently its on the !0th of April, I should have a received a 21 day notice but I didn't, which I guess is typical of the organisation who are doing the work.
