independence

I spent part of the morning campaighning for welsh independence it involved stand out for an hour this morning holding a flag by the organisation Yes Cymru which is trying to galvanise everyone in Wales behind well most of it anyway the cause of independence.  I guess its better to aim to get everyone then you might then get most to support the issue.

 Wales has been colonised by England for a long time but is still the entity of Wales and different to England so it might as well get the status of being different that of country so it plough its own furrough in the world a scary option for lot of people maybe it is for me even though I have grumbled and blamed england for a lot of wales's problems and they have caused a lot wales's problmes but is Wales ready to sort its own mess out looking at the cardiff talking shop no but maybe I expect too much it will not be perfect if Wales gets independence nothing is and it might still get bullied and intimidated by its neighbour but it will be free which to me is the most important thing freedom from being ruled by another country and independent state/country of Wales

 It was a bit awakward this morning gauging the support for the movement were people tooting their horns due to knowing the group who were there or were they genuinely supporting the independence thing no one will know I guess but at least we brightened up the day for some peeople on their dreary journeys I guess.

Well I achieved something last night, which I thought was going to be beyond me, I guess to a lot of people what I achieved, was pretty trivial, but I guess we all see things different;ly, what I achieved was to get over 170 score in a whist drive.  Last night was the first time I had ever done it, had a few scores in the 160's but not in the 170's which I see as the holy grail of scores to get as you will probably win then, which in fact I didn't last night, someone scored more than me, by 1 point.  I was not that bothered about that, all I was concerned about was getting a score above 170, I have been going to whist for years off and on and was never, until last night able to get the magic score, I am surprised I got the score last night as I had a bad headache all evening, I guess it was the luck of the cards that got me through. I thought I would never get the score, as I don't see very well, and struggle to make out the cards sometimes which is a bit of a strain,

great war

I went to an exhibition today, which was about the first world war, it mainly seemed to be full of photos of men from my home village who had fallen in the great war, they were all young obviously not ravaged by time.  It was a bit sad to think that so many young men from the place where I grew up were killed, it had their names and the names of where they lived, the names of houses and streets are the same today Sometimes you feel the outside world does not affect what happens here, but I guess it must do as it dragged a load of the young men here into the conflict which was going on at that time, I am not sure I agree with them going to fight, but that is neither here nor there, the fact is they did and that was what was going on at that time. My grandfather was in the first world war, but he was lucky enough to survive, even though he did leave his calf muscle over there in wherever he was, it must have been hell for him really and I guess I will never know what he saw there, al

I did not go the 4th day of the walk, I could not face another 10 miles of plodding around the countryside, I think this is mainly due to the fact that I have not been walking quite so much in the last year, due to bad weather and things like that.  I did not think I would even finish 2 days but I did 3 in the end, more than anyone else except the person who organised the walk.   Instead of going on the walk i tidied up around the place, and just sat around, and also watched the football this afternoon, it was a crap day.  I did not even go for a short walk, its still perishing out there, I have a short walk on Wednesday, a kind of trail run for group who want to do this short walk, a recky or something they call it. I have at last heard when the new kitchen is being put in, apparently its on the !0th of April, I should have a received a 21 day notice but I didn't, which I guess is typical of the organisation who are doing the work.
