Well, I have been home a week already,  only a few more days to go until I am back in college.  I had no plans today, to do anything much and the weather was not very nice to start with and its a lot colder.  

 I rang RNIB regarding my benefit today, I have now been registered as blind and am therefore entitled to claim for the middle rate fo DLA, but DLA does not take any new claims, as it has changed to PIP, so if I wanted to change the DLA I am on now I would automatically get a claim form for the new PIP shit thing.  When I originally clamed DLA I was awarded it for 'life' or in the case of the Tory shit, until they decid to change it, in other words they are a bunch of liers, so I guess what's new, the Tories and other politicians are all liers I guess, just in for themselves.  Anyway I am not too sure now what to do, whether to go for PIP shit now or just wait until I am called to reclaim, which I think is next year sometime.  I had a lot of grief claiming the ESA thing, who knows when that will change again.

 The scaffolding has finally been removed from the house, its been here for months, I was going to complain but now its gone, the skip is still here though, but maybe now the the scaffolding is gone, the skip will soon follow it.  The builders that were here made a right mess of the house by letting water into the kitchen, they said they would repair it, but I haven't seen them but then again I haven't been here.

 I would like to go the whist drive tonight but the stupid bus company who has a monopoly of the routes around here has decided the to stop the bus service which I would take home, which is really frustrating.

Well I achieved something last night, which I thought was going to be beyond me, I guess to a lot of people what I achieved, was pretty trivial, but I guess we all see things different;ly, what I achieved was to get over 170 score in a whist drive.  Last night was the first time I had ever done it, had a few scores in the 160's but not in the 170's which I see as the holy grail of scores to get as you will probably win then, which in fact I didn't last night, someone scored more than me, by 1 point.  I was not that bothered about that, all I was concerned about was getting a score above 170, I have been going to whist for years off and on and was never, until last night able to get the magic score, I am surprised I got the score last night as I had a bad headache all evening, I guess it was the luck of the cards that got me through. I thought I would never get the score, as I don't see very well, and struggle to make out the cards sometimes which is a bit of a strain,

great war

I went to an exhibition today, which was about the first world war, it mainly seemed to be full of photos of men from my home village who had fallen in the great war, they were all young obviously not ravaged by time.  It was a bit sad to think that so many young men from the place where I grew up were killed, it had their names and the names of where they lived, the names of houses and streets are the same today Sometimes you feel the outside world does not affect what happens here, but I guess it must do as it dragged a load of the young men here into the conflict which was going on at that time, I am not sure I agree with them going to fight, but that is neither here nor there, the fact is they did and that was what was going on at that time. My grandfather was in the first world war, but he was lucky enough to survive, even though he did leave his calf muscle over there in wherever he was, it must have been hell for him really and I guess I will never know what he saw there, al

I did not go the 4th day of the walk, I could not face another 10 miles of plodding around the countryside, I think this is mainly due to the fact that I have not been walking quite so much in the last year, due to bad weather and things like that.  I did not think I would even finish 2 days but I did 3 in the end, more than anyone else except the person who organised the walk.   Instead of going on the walk i tidied up around the place, and just sat around, and also watched the football this afternoon, it was a crap day.  I did not even go for a short walk, its still perishing out there, I have a short walk on Wednesday, a kind of trail run for group who want to do this short walk, a recky or something they call it. I have at last heard when the new kitchen is being put in, apparently its on the !0th of April, I should have a received a 21 day notice but I didn't, which I guess is typical of the organisation who are doing the work.
