funny what you learn on youtube

I was looking at youtube this morning, mainly in relation to how to use a trekking stick, when I came a across a video, how to tie your walking boot laces, so the boots fit better.  I have new walking boots, but I am bothered about how they tie up.  Anyway I looked at the video but got bored of it, I looked at the other videos on offer and there was one about how to tie you shoes in a better way. I clicked it, and the person started to bang on about how sometimes you tie your shoes or trainer, the classic way, and in about a half an hour or so it starts to unravel, of its own accord.  This rang a bell with me, and listened to video, all way through, it was banging on about tying the laces in a classic way but doubling up on the amount of times you go round, in a part of it.  i tried it, and it works, the laces feel secure and it has not raveled or opened at all, all day.  Its not easy, but I have to the hang of it, and also it opens the usual way.

I have not tried this new method on walking boots, but I will do so when I go out next for a walk.  I was suppose to be going for a walk today, but the weather was bad and it was cancelled, for the second time.  I like walking but the weather does mess things up, especially this time of year.

Also today, the guy came to deliver my new vacuum cleaner, in place of the one which I thought was broken, but I decided it was not, so I didn't need a replacement, I felt a bit embarressed about the trouble but I guess that's life.  I am still not too sure about how it works right, but I think its ok, its just I'm not that clear at how it works properly.

I went to Bangor today and missed the bus I wanted home, I am sure it went early.
