War

 I don't understand why this war is taking place why a country like Russia would invade its neighbour without any provocation it does not make sense and is madness.  

It has been going for a couple of months now and there does not seem to be an end. I have started to watch CNN on the tv which has internet tv on it and the coverage seems a lot more in depth on there than on the usual BBC it is winding me up more anyway I feel like it would like to see Russia bombed to bits for this action of unprovoked aggression by a stupid old man. We have just well we are in a pandmic but this silly cunt thinks its a good idea to start a war for no apparent reason than his bit of insecurity.  Maybe I have too much time to look at it, my life is not exactly a hive of activity these days I guess so I have time to meditate on this shit story there is not a lot if any good in the world right now.

The weather might be a saving grace I guess its sunny and dry and a lot easier to out and have a walk though there is no one around really the next town was like ghost town today it usually is but it just seemed a lot quieter today. In the coop there I got stuck with the self service till I could not hear the been as things were being chekeed in and maybe there wasn't one.  This is ironic really as I was just saying how good self service is the other day in relation to being able to bypass shit customer service I was wishing today that I had put up with shit customer service life is a bastard at times well most the time these days I suppoe but I guess its not as bad as it is in Ukeraine

I am trying to get people to come to a whist drive I am a bit intrigued as to whether my 'new' glasses will help me play better than I usually do, its a good night out too and I get to chat to few people I have not seen for a while due to the pandemic

I think I need to lose a bit of weight I am getting a bit fat I guess its all the shit i eat an the sitting about I do. I am not too sure about going out tonight to drink beer that puts on weight and its getting boring to be honest too

I got a book from the blind library its a short one they probably think I am taking too long to read  the other ones they send me whih is fair enough I don't read them really i just send them back

Well I achieved something last night, which I thought was going to be beyond me, I guess to a lot of people what I achieved, was pretty trivial, but I guess we all see things different;ly, what I achieved was to get over 170 score in a whist drive.  Last night was the first time I had ever done it, had a few scores in the 160's but not in the 170's which I see as the holy grail of scores to get as you will probably win then, which in fact I didn't last night, someone scored more than me, by 1 point.  I was not that bothered about that, all I was concerned about was getting a score above 170, I have been going to whist for years off and on and was never, until last night able to get the magic score, I am surprised I got the score last night as I had a bad headache all evening, I guess it was the luck of the cards that got me through. I thought I would never get the score, as I don't see very well, and struggle to make out the cards sometimes which is a bit of a strain,

great war

I went to an exhibition today, which was about the first world war, it mainly seemed to be full of photos of men from my home village who had fallen in the great war, they were all young obviously not ravaged by time.  It was a bit sad to think that so many young men from the place where I grew up were killed, it had their names and the names of where they lived, the names of houses and streets are the same today Sometimes you feel the outside world does not affect what happens here, but I guess it must do as it dragged a load of the young men here into the conflict which was going on at that time, I am not sure I agree with them going to fight, but that is neither here nor there, the fact is they did and that was what was going on at that time. My grandfather was in the first world war, but he was lucky enough to survive, even though he did leave his calf muscle over there in wherever he was, it must have been hell for him really and I guess I will never know what he saw there, al

I did not go the 4th day of the walk, I could not face another 10 miles of plodding around the countryside, I think this is mainly due to the fact that I have not been walking quite so much in the last year, due to bad weather and things like that.  I did not think I would even finish 2 days but I did 3 in the end, more than anyone else except the person who organised the walk.   Instead of going on the walk i tidied up around the place, and just sat around, and also watched the football this afternoon, it was a crap day.  I did not even go for a short walk, its still perishing out there, I have a short walk on Wednesday, a kind of trail run for group who want to do this short walk, a recky or something they call it. I have at last heard when the new kitchen is being put in, apparently its on the !0th of April, I should have a received a 21 day notice but I didn't, which I guess is typical of the organisation who are doing the work.
