Well the weather has been appalling for the last couple of days so been couped in here really, too wet to go out.  The summer seems to becoming a total washout at the moment, this is sad we are getting too much rain as it is, it seems to be increasing every year.  I know there is nothing I can about it, only complain and I guess there is not much point in that, as no one will listen. I do it I guess as it gets rid of the frustration of having shit weather all the time which is annoying, but I suppose I should not let it get to me as there  is nothing that can be done.  The weather does affect people though, people are generally happier in the sun than a drab rainy day.

Today I download a synthesiser called Dune 2, it is the demo version so a lot of the functions do not work on it and I guess not all the presets are there either, which is understandable as they want you to pay for the thing.  It is the foot in the door method selling I guess.  I do like the sounds though, it is an FM synth apparently I haven't seen what that means yet, but I had a lot of fun with it this afternoon, messing about with the presets and generally making a racket really but I can see now where these people who post tacks on youtube get their instruments from to make these house tracks.  I don't know if those people have paid for synth or have the illegal copy, the problem with those is that there are little glitches in them but I guess if you are saving a hundred quid, then its worth the hastle.  If you don't pay you also don't get the service and also the download sites are full of malware so as well as free synth you get a load junk on your computer.  I do like the sounds as I say and I am thinking of buying the thing.  It seemed to be making music without me making much effort which good, but then again that might he sales thing on it, porgrammed to appeal sort of thing.  This synth is very popular and has good reviews but then again its all part of the sales thing.

I did buy a cheap copy of a synth a while a go not from the retailer, and paid the price really as it breaks down now and then, I guess I was ripped off, I guess I did not understand at the time what was what Iwon't make that mistake again. I am not sure, if I will buy this one as its a lot of money, I guess I will just mess about with this one for a while longer.  I don't think its possible to get the sondI would like from the stock synths that there are on the DAW, but I don't wnat to waste, money, especially if this wretched government sees it right that I will nto get my disability benefit again, which I have had for over 20 years and was promiesed me for life, and not until the wretched goverment decided that I was nto going to get it, whole thing make me sick really.

Well I achieved something last night, which I thought was going to be beyond me, I guess to a lot of people what I achieved, was pretty trivial, but I guess we all see things different;ly, what I achieved was to get over 170 score in a whist drive.  Last night was the first time I had ever done it, had a few scores in the 160's but not in the 170's which I see as the holy grail of scores to get as you will probably win then, which in fact I didn't last night, someone scored more than me, by 1 point.  I was not that bothered about that, all I was concerned about was getting a score above 170, I have been going to whist for years off and on and was never, until last night able to get the magic score, I am surprised I got the score last night as I had a bad headache all evening, I guess it was the luck of the cards that got me through. great war

I went to an exhibition today, which was about the first world war, it mainly seemed to be full of photos of men from my home village who had fallen in the great war, they were all young obviously not ravaged by time.  It was a bit sad to think that so many young men from the place where I grew up were killed, it had their names and the names of where they lived, the names of houses and streets are the same today Sometimes you feel the outside world does not affect what happens here, but I guess it must do as it dragged a load of the young men here into the conflict which was going on at that time, I am not sure I agree with them going to fight, but that is neither here nor there, the fact is they did and that was what was going on at that time. My grandfather was in the first world war, but he was lucky enough to survive, even though he did leave his calf muscle over there in wherever he was, it must have been hell for him really and I guess I will never know what he saw there, al

I did not go the 4th day of the walk, I could not face another 10 miles of plodding around the countryside, I think this is mainly due to the fact that I have not been walking quite so much in the last year, due to bad weather and things like that.  I did not think I would even finish 2 days but I did 3 in the end, more than anyone else except the person who organised the walk.   Instead of going on the walk i tidied up around the place, and just sat around, and also watched the football this afternoon, it was a crap day.  I did not even go for a short walk, its still perishing out there, I have a short walk on Wednesday, a kind of trail run for group who want to do this short walk, a recky or something they call it. I have at last heard when the new kitchen is being put in, apparently its on the !0th of April, I should have a received a 21 day notice but I didn't, which I guess is typical of the organisation who are doing the work.
