guitar

I have this vile tinnitus thing going on, I got a letter for an appointment to have some scan next week, regarding, it, not sure if they can do much, so here's hoping.  They originally sent me an appointment for twenty to 8 in the evening, well I could have got there but there was no way I would be getting back, as the hospital is 40 miles away and there is no bus back here at that time of night.  They did manage to change it for me which is good and can now go next Monday, in the day time. I also took my guitar to be fixed today, the machine head has come off somehow or other, I think it might have been due to the fact that I might have forced it into to the new case which I bought the other day.  Anyway I can't find the screws that have come out so I have taken the guitar to a shop in Bangor which apparently fixes them, there is also a problem with a noisy B sting, there is a tinny ring going on with it, hopefully they might sort that out too, whole thing might cost a few qui

Porth Ysgo

I took a trip to Pwllheli today, I wanted to go to the tourist information place there, to ask them for the directions to a place called Porth Ysgo, I guess I could have phoned but maybe I thought I could after visiting the information place but it turned out that the place was just too far to visit today.  Maybe I can go tomorrow, while in the information place a woman said she would have come with me if she was not working, I am so glad that some people are employed in this  country. Anyway I think I have all the information I need to get there and back now. I caught the train back from Pwllheli, it is a lot faster than the 'round the world' which goes there and much more comfortable too, due to having a loo on board.  I went to tesco after getting back to Porthmadog, and made the same mistake I did a while ago and bought the barbecue chicken for lunch its horrible and definitely won't make that mistake again.

lost

I went for a walk this afternoon and got lost, got the most lost I have ever been I think, but I did manage to find my way home and I did not have to ring for assistance, I got my feet wet though, but that is nothing for me I usually get wet, but I guess this was really my own fault, should have had proper foot ware on.  I did enjoy some of the walk though even though I got lost, it nice to get out there. I think I need to get better directions than I was given this time.  Apparently the route I was trying to follow, but got lost, is part of a walk called the Cistercian Way, which links a lot of the churches in Wales up, doubt I will be attempting the whole thing though, not if I get lost on a small part of it.

John Arthur

I went to the funeral of the one the local lads from the village today, he died on Monday aged 54 from that crap called cancer.  I was not sure weather to go as I had not seen him for a few years really.  Anyway I went, it was being held at the top of the street here just a few doors away, as i walked up the street at 10 this morning, I was gobsmacked by the number of peopl who were there there must have been over a 1000, probably the biggest number I have ever or will ever see at a funeral here in the village.  The people were in the middle of the road and the traffic could not pass. I was wondering why the police had not stopped the traffic, maybe they were not expecting so many people. The coffin was carried to the graveyard on the back of one of the family lorries.  After the service in the cemetry a lot of the crowd, went to the Pengwern for drink and something to see, I was a bit apprehensive whether the place could cope so I went and gave them a hand for a while just collecting

Untitled

I went to Bangor today on the new bus service, the one replacing the old X32, this service is called 32 as well, but this only goes from Porthmadog to Caernarfon/Bangor, whereas the other one came all the way from Machynlleth.  I am glad this service is there, I was worried that once the X32 had gone, we would be left at the mercy of Express Motors 's 'service' to Bangor, which goes all the way round the small villages and takes for ever.  This service is actually better than the old one as it stop everywhere, the other only had designated stops on the route.  I am just so glad we are not completely at the mercy of distressed motors round here, they are a real crap company. When I got to Bangor I went to the guitar shop, which has changed hands, it is now run by a couple from Penrhyndeudraeth, I am sure I have seen the lady of the shop before but could not remember where.  I wanted to sort out some twanging noise which my guitar makes, which the top E makes and is very frus

rent

It has been a dry sunny day for a change weather wise.  I got another letter regarding the rent for this place, apparently I might owe a little back rent, well they will get if they come and fix this place any time soon, I have to wait a long time to get anything done in this place lately.  The council were bad but this lot are worse even though in reality they are the same lot as the council just under a different name.

racket in ears

I have had an awful racket in my ear today, its some shit called tinnitus, I can think of worse words for it, its rotten.  I deposited some money in the bank today, probably for the first time in ages. I also some Virginia, someone who worked at a place where I still go to and which is going through some changes, which don't seem to be working really, as the place is mainly empty. The health these days is suffering a bit, someone said things went down hill after 50 and they are sure heading that way as far as i can see, which is a bit sad.
