firemen strike of 1977

The first ever national strike undertaken by firefighters, lasted  nine weeks from November 1977 to January 1978 . Police had received a substantial pay rise while firefighters had seen years of falling real wages, creating a low pay industry. The picture. is of the village fair. When it was in its heyday. Why are they trying to stop the fair now? When it's nowhere near as busy as it was then. Very odd. I have read the. Correspondence from the Council. They say they sent the local councillor an email. In me regarding their decision not allowing the fair to go ahead. But when we had a meeting in the local pub, there was no mention of. This email from the councillor. She must have been told about it when she rang up inquiring about the fare. The councillor is being very deceitful here she should have brought the email up in the meeting  in thepub . She no longer lives locally.
